Jennings won that game. It's a team effort but man if it wasn't for Jennings I'm not sure how that one turns out. He was offensive MVP obviously, but on defense after the fumble on SC's last drive the SC player had nothing but green and Jennings chased him down and tackled him to prevent the tie. Then he comes up with an int on that same drive.

Region rankings week 5 edition

1. Squatchie- still looks like the team to beat with a solid offense and defense

2. Smith Co.- good showing against Squatch and a win against Livingston moves them up in this weeks edition.

3. Upperman- has played a tough schedule so far and at times looked unstoppable on offense but sloppy play hinders them big time.

4. Dékalb co- could see them winning some teams ranked above if they can find a more balanced game and a healthy Jennings.

5. York- have shown improvement throughout the season and could upset some teams.

6.Grundy- Playing Watertown close has brought some confidence to the fans and hopefully the team. Could play Upperman closer than expected with my Bees sloppy play.

7.Cannon- I got nothing

Looks like I will have to re do this. This region is actually really close from the 5 spot up. Anyone can win any given Friday

Everyone jumped on Smith when they beat LA, our boys played hard and the coaches made some nice adjustments. The middle of the field was there and we took advantage of it with the passing game! Jennings settled down and I felt like the line did well. Smith #33 ran really well when his number was called.

I can't lie I thought Smith Co would win this one but like I said in my rankings of the region, Dekalb could beat anyone in the region with a well balanced offense. Jennings is still the best player on the field in region play.

    • I believe that was last year. I was interested in the Jones vs Baker comment, so I went back and looked at GC. I am not a fan of either nor am I a baseball guru. This looks like to me the duel was not close and if the errors would not have been made Eagleville would have won. I assume you are a little biased. I do think your mph for Jeffcoat and Baker must be from last year.  Baker-85 pitches 67 strikes. 5.2 innings, 5H, 1BB, 0ER and 7K's. 3 errors  Jones- 78 pitches 37 strikes. 4 innings, 2H, 5BB, 0ER and 1K. 1 error   Adams and the UH kid are really good as well. What about South Pitt and Oakdale? I heard they have some good ones.
    • I hate this for all the kids in the program and fans alike. I can't recall of anything like this before in my lifetime but I'm sure it isn't a first. After criminal investigations are complete and the TSSAA looks into this the program it will be facing Nuclear Winter for some time to come. It's always the innocent left behind that end up paying the price for something someone else has done. I'm sure the transfer portal will be very active in Clinton over the summer months. How could you find a good coach worth his salt that would take on a situation like this not knowing what will happen.
    • I’ve seen Jeffcoat in person twice and he was 84-87 both times and the one time I saw Baker he was low 80’s, he actually got out dueled by Jones from ER in that outing.
    • Pirate fans, thread is up on the baseball message board.
