2015-2016 Football Schedules

Recommended Posts

When SC scheduled Cookeville...Maynord was the coach...and he wasn't Cookeville's. SC played them in the jamboree the previous several years. SC had the better team most of those years...no doubt. They scheduled Alcoa because it was them or a DII private or nobody at all. Maynord wasn't leaving when that happened either. That's what happened with the schedule.

I don't doubt that happened while Maynard was there, but it killed the hopes for SC these last two seasons. And with the talent cycle SC is in, I doubt Maynard staying would have changed that much in those two games. Yes, I also seen SC play CHS in jamborees where SC looked to have the better team. But I have also seen LA and UH scrimmage CHS in the past and looked to have better teams to. Guess we will see how it plays out. CHS might have its mosted talented team ever next year. Won't be any excuses for CHS if they don't dominate. Edited by UpperCumberlandMan

Let's see how you do. You didn't beat SC...lol.

Yes, SC did beat UH in game three on a dropped pass in the end zone while UH wa trying to get 18 new startes(all returning) to play together. Fare and square, SC got the win at home. 8 weeks later UH was heading to round two while SC was still thinking about that Cannon game. Big diffrence from where SC and UH were in week 3, to where these two teams ended up.

Not really...the U made the playoffs because they played A schools. That's the only reason. They did beat Gville barely. They would not have beaten any other nondistrict team on SC's schedule. Really not any better.

66 returning and 2 more games exp, I will agree to disagree. I am not sure SC would beat 1a Monterey, they are way better than Cannon. I would say 2a Jackson Co would have give Smith Co all they wanted, they to way better than Cannon. Smith was DOA once Milan cashed it in for the season. You can believe Smith was as good as UH at the end of the season all you want, but the facts don't support it. Edited by UpperCumberlandMan

Actually they do. Monterey lost to Clay after the U. They got better as the season went on. Milan didn't play against the U. SC pounded JC in jamboree. There is no way SC should have lost to Cannon..but it didn't matter at that point. Injuries decimated SC. They had at least 8 starters that didn't play against the U. That does not change the fact the U was not a good team. Neither had a chance to do anything in the playoffs. Looks like the facts bare that out.

UH won the 1st round, so that theory holds no water. UH also had several out verse SC including their best OL/DL Withers. Also lost lb/wr Vick and lb/ol Friddle for the season. Rb-Butler was banged up all season starting in the pre-seasson. We can argue all day if's and's and butts....but UH finished way stronger than SC and is a better place heading into 2015. I will be suprised if both the Examiner and Murphy Fair doesn't have UH as the #1 or #2 team in the region pre-season. Edited by UpperCumberlandMan

Yep..they "one" against YAI...another team SC beat...lol. They got drilled by ND...gotta be a big morale booster.

yes YI got blasted by UH. DC got run over by Signal. UH got steam rolled by ND. But they all got extra practice time while SC sat at home. And the reality of it is, with Trap, Herron, and Wright......they all have better head coaches to boot than SC. Things haven't been this low in Carthage since Dyer was there. • Jason Lambert should be the only choice for the Baseball coaching position.
    • From the stats I found online it looks like Gabe Eddington- .484, 44 total hits, 43 runs scored and 42 stolen bases.Meanwhile, on the mound, the Austin Peay commit had a record of 8-2, while compiling 50 innings pitched with an ERA of 1.82. Carson Parrott - 7-0 overall as a starting pitcher with a 1.41 ERA, 95 strikeouts and a save in 53 and 1/3 innings pitched. Parrott hit .392 with 3 home runs, 21 RBIs with a .566 OBP and .716 SLG. Jaxon Walker - .454, 53 hits, 38 RBI’s, 9 HRs.   Not saying the other three aren’t deserving but Quillen had better BA than all three and was just as dominate pitching.  Like I said I don’t know how you leave off the 3a Baseball player of the year last year when he put up better numbers.  I know Greeneville’s Coach wasn’t happy about it saying “I don’t give a s*** what anybody else says. That kid is the best player in Tennessee, and everybody else on our team rises to his level“.  I’m sure winning another State Championship as a junior is more important to Carson than the individual award, it’s just a head scratcher to not be nominated
