wildcatpride70
.i wonder if wc is making a counter offer or is in a position to do so What would they offer? Not having to mow the field? The job's not worth having unless you're local and just don't want to leave. None of the coaching jobs are.

They won't even pay to get the field mowed or anything to do with it but they sure don't mind the money the program has made over the last ten or so years! Coach Rice mowed and worked the field, cleaned the bleachers, cleaned and stocked the bathrooms and took care of the whole fieldhouse all by himself. The school board and superintendent need to open their eyes and get some help or atleast give some money! The kids in this town have nothing if they don't play sports and they deserve quality coaching and facilities but apparently the administration don't want either! These coaches and players put it all on the line and work their butts off for this school and town and it's time they both get rewarded and recognized for all the time and hard work!

Id vote for you for MAYOR right now sir! You nailed it all amen. Coach Rice gave us many years in Waynesboro either at the Middle or High School levels. He was the Head Football Coach at WMS 1986-1987. He was an Assistant Football Coach at WCHS 1989-1991. He then took over for good in 1993 as the Head Coach at WCHS until after the 2001 season. Thats where he went on his little Perry County HS Fball Coach hiatus until he returned in time for my SR year and the 2006 season and has been HC at WCHS ever since. Besides coaching Football he was also the Girls Basketball Coach for 1 season at WMS (86-87). Served as the Head Baseball Coach at WCHS also for several seasons. (90-91)(06-11). Also he was an Assistant Coach at McEwen HS for 1 season (88). Also was HC for Football and Assistant Baseball Coach from 91-93 at Lake County HS. 2015 will mark his 30th consecutive year as a coach at some HS level. Congrats to him on his new journey. Lord knows he deserves it!
secondtoone
I spoke with a few "firm" sources myself and all I got was a few chuckles and a "you can't believe everything you read on the internet" explanation. Hopefully an official announcement will come soon. and you said you saw elvis! whats your point?
wildcatpride70
and you said you saw elvis! whats your point?Bruh, you said he'd been seen in Humphreys County quite a bit. What's that got to do with anything?
