One of their projected starters who missed time last yr with a knee injury also missed this scrimmage. He is a sure fire starter at DE and on the O Line...to have MRI Today..so prayers plz. Also talked to Coach and he said we played "decent" and that the competition of the other 2 teams "wasnt very good". So take that for what its worth but i think a 7 or 8 win season is what we should be expecting. IMO

FWIW I posted the 2015 Wayne Co. Football Schedule earlier on the main site. We got 3 or 4 cupcakes then 3 or 4 really good teams. Will be a test this yr to win Region especially with the realignments.

lol...Having their coach leave for Deshler killed that program. New coach has alot of coaching exp but is a "odd dude" thats coming from an asst coach at Cwood. Hes already rubbing some the wrong way. Imagine that in Collinwood!

That program was dead way before Statom left. It's naive to not recognize that there were problems that he contributed to.

You are correct, Statom leaving was simply the nail in the coffin. He was all over the place his last 3 years with 1 win in 2011 then winning 9 and making the qtr finals in 2012(He had a lot of talent on that roster) but then again in 2013 he only won 2 games. One thing someone else pointed out is enrollment numbers. It was but abiut 6-7 years ago Collinwood was pushing 400 students. They were below 300 the past 2 years. So i think he seen the writing on the wall and bailed. He also went to Deshler for family reasons and the move made since for alot of other reasons. This new guy, from Colbert County in Bama, im anxious to see how he trys to turn it around for the Green team.

We didnt have but 3 up until yesterday when i added the rest of them. Majority of ppl havent got into that High School football mode just yet. But ill add their schedule shortly.

Its the same as ours except they play Stown instead of MTP as their non region opponent.
