Rhea County's schedule is now complete. Home games against Baylor, White Co., Clinton, Cleveland, and Soddy. Away games McMinn Central, Ooltewah, Cathedral High School in Indianapolis (tentatively scheduled @ Lucas Oil Stadium), Walker Valley, and McMinn Co.[/quote

Don't think anyone can whine about the Eagles playing a "cupcake" schedule this year. if they can get through that gauntlet in decent shape they should be battle tested by playoff time. Stepping out of the region to play four 2014 playoff teams is a good move and Cathedral High in Indianapolis is a private school that is the defending 5A Indiana state champs and has more wins than any high school football team in Indiana history.

This is definitely a gauntlet of a schedule for the next two years. The non-region games with the private schools Baylor and Cathedral are very interesting. We are going to see just how good we are right off the bat opening with Baylor. Cathedral is a very special game. They have won 5 straight state championships and are stepping up to 6A this year. They always play a stacked schedule looking at the last couple years including state powerhouse Warren Central and national powerhouse, Louisville Trinity and St. Xavier of Cincinnati. From looking at their stats and roster from last year they where a senior heavy team but being a private school that might not matter too much. As long as Lucas Oil Stadium dosnt bump us for another event this game will be played at Lucas Oil Stadium.

The other non region and region games are very good too. I like seeing White Co back on the schedule again. Clinton should be a good game next year. Along with McMinn Central who will be good test early in the season.

Then there is our old buddies Cleveland Ooltewah Soddy McMinn and Walker Valley. Good to be back.

good to have you back. Tough schedule, I see you guys finishing 8-2 or 7-3, 1st or 2nd in the district depending on the Ooltewah game

Still not loving having White County in the district/region, but it is what it is...I'm sure they'd rather stay where they were too.

Early projections would put Ooltewah and Rhea at the top of the heap.  Cleveland will be in a true rebuilding year. McMinn will struggle.  WV may be improved (they were young and can fill empty spots with experienced players) but still middle of the pack at best.  White is a wild card, but I predict they experience a painful transition to a higher competition level across the board. Soddy loses the core of their points production, so they're a question mark.  Many teams playing a tough non-district schedule, should make for an interesting season for sure.
