LadyHighlanders
We saw Dickson play in preseason & they did not look very good honestly... But their record has moved them into the receiving consideration category. Gatlinburg-Pittman defeated Dickson County 79-74 tonight.
Play2Win2
Gatlinburg-Pittman defeated Dickson County 79-74 tonight. I stand corrected maybe they don't belong in the Top 40. Just another good basketball team as there are many.
WarriorFan
Dyer Co, Ridgeway, Houston Co, Memphis Overton, Elizabethon, Mt Juliet, Middleton and Morristown West over Riverdale in TN??????? These teams wouldn't come within 10 points of Riverdale. Best teams in TN are Blackman, Oakland, Riverdale. Best teams in TN are Blackman, Oakland, Riverdale. well...Riverdale started out by losing to Murfreesboro Central Magnet....they have been steadily moving back up the rankings since that loss... As for the other schools Dyer Co and Ridgeway are both nationally ranked by USA today. So we aren't the only ones who feel they are above Riverdale at this point. Thanks for your opinion tho. Always good to have discussion.
WarriorFan
Thanks John. I just looked at the teams Dyer has played, and all 11 wins but one so far have come from schools with losing records. They haven't played anyone. Outside of Munford, I agree that their schedule is somewhat weak. In the regular season Dyer Co.'s only tough game should be Munford. Region tournaments will be interesting for them. If they can survive that and win the region, they should be in the 'boro as long as they stay opposite of Ridgeway for sub-state.
WarriorFan
Coach McGraw.....having a hard time with this one.....your #9 team Memphis Houston gets easily whipped by 13 against Lee High (AL) today in the State Farm Classic. Lee High got rolled out of the gym with a 38 point shellacking by your #21 team Riverdale two days before in the opening game. No respect for the Riverdale Lady Warriors. Riverdale is a minimum top 10 team at the least. Edited December 30, 2014 by WarriorFan

Not meaning this in any negative way towards Riverdale, but did you really expect them to stay in the top 10 after taking a loss to Murfreesboro Central Magnet...? Riverdale is starting to roll off some impressive wins for sure... They will be able to prove themselves like you say when they start play Oakland, Blackman, Smyrna etc... Riverdale is starting to roll off some impressive wins for sure... They will be able to prove themselves like you say when they start play Oakland, Blackman, Smyrna etc... They were never in McGraw's top 10. Riverdale has already beaten Smyrna 60-51. Murfreesboro Central was one of those games where Central had nothing to lose. They have no football team. They really hadn't had a sports game in the school to cheer for the whole fall. They had a huge crowd there and treated it like it was the state championship game. They played a great game with a lot of seniors and many of Riverdale's kids had been playing just the year before against 6th, 7th and 8th graders. Central also has some pretty good athletes, and will go far this year unless something happens. They are not a bad team. My bet is tho Riverdale would win 95 out of 100 games, and that night that was one of the 5 they would have lost...ie the cards were on the table. BTW....not sure how you could prove yourself any better than Riverdale's national/international schedule against historically prominent teams... http://www.coacht.com/tennessee/inside/schedule.cfm?schoolid=424&sportid=2&seasonid=280 Edited December 30, 2014 by WarriorFan
