Top team in AA?

Why would they have CPA, Martin Luther, and White County ahead of Elizabethton in the USA Today poll? What a joke! I guess the voters haven't heard of the defending state champions......the Mighty Cyclones! They will, because we are gonna make some noise the next few years.

They obviously made a mistake or didn't do their homework. I have Elizabethton winning the state the next two years. Very good basketball team. I knew two years ago when they were all freshman they were trouble for every body else.

No disrespect to any of these teams, I know they are very good teams, but come on guys and gals, what must we do to prove ourselves? When a gold ball 3 years in a row? Play Blackmon, Juliet, and the Ridge in a tournament and beat all 3?

I will say this. On a given day, any one can be beat with knucklehead officiating gettin involved. Their have been lots of great teams that lost in a fluke game. But Elizabethton is very good team. Westview, IMO if they hadn't lost Reechis, might have given you guys a run for your money. They give you guys a tough test last year and had good enough depth to play you guys a competitive game. CPA is always loaded with talent, but I still think you guys are the team to beat in AA.

Yes they have them at # 9 after beating Cumberland County.

that's not usa today numnuts. that's a midstate poll. last time i checked elizabethon was upper east tn.

As of right now, i would say the most likely candidate would be CPA. But i fully expect two 8-AA teams to be there, and the two will be much more battle tested than usual. Our district is very VERY balanced this year.

 

That being said, it's Etowns to lose. You guys know I'm a fan and love watching your team play.
