Oak Ridge is loaded. Tee Higgins is the best player in the state of Tennessee. Darel Middleton has made the adjustment to Oak Ridge and has bought in. People are sleeping on the Alcorn kid #66 probably the best defensive player.  Defensively they want miss a beat. From what I hear they will be bigger and faster than last last year. Offensively the talk is they will e much better running the ball, with Middleton and Higgins on the outside it will be tough. Oh yeah they may have the best kicker/punter in the state.

WE GONNA SEE WHO IS THE BEST IN THE STATE....HE COMIN IN WITH HYPE....

70%???? You obviously didn't know much about West last season. West is there because they won it. Until a new champ is crowned in 2015, they will remain the champs. Kinda like my Falcons!

DID YOU MOVE UP TO 5A YET???? SORRY BUT THIS IS #BIGBOYFOOTBALL TERRITORY....WE ALL TOUGH OVER HERE.....IF WE LET A SCHOOL PUT UP 70 ON US....WE AS 5A WOULD REVOKE HIS COACHING LICENSE!!! YOU CAN'T COMPETE OVER HERE SON....MARIVUL GONNA BEAT YOU LIKE A DRUM.....ON A DOWN YEAR!!!#LOP

STAY IN YOUR LANE.....#LOP

The owls cupboard was full last year. They have yet to prove themselves come playoff time. But I hope rhea and ooltewah do go far to represent our district.

DON'T MENTION RHEA IN THE SAME SENTENCE AS MY OWLS....AND WE HAVE PROVED OURSELVES....WE BEAT YOU AND ERRBODY ON THE SCHEDULE.....YOU SHOULD HAVE BEAT OAKRIDGE.....AND WEST AND RHEA ARE IN THE TOP 3 RESPECTIVELY FROM LAST YEARS ROSTER..COTTREL AND MARSHAL ARE GONE.....AND YORK AND DOUST ARE GONE....AND WE PIC THAT QB OFF TWICE SO I DON'T COUNT HIM OR BICE ....

RHEA HAD THEIR CHANCE AND BLEW IT.....HECK I WILL FEAR THE VEER BEFORE GETTING T-BONED BY THE WINGT....AND THATS A STRETCH #LOP

Word on Middleton is he's never played DE, always been LB. He had to make an adjustment and early didn't want to cause he was uncomfortable. His old AAU coach who knows him well says they think he has bought in.  But #66 will be a guy teams have to worry about now. I think the presence of Middleton forced teams to try #66 but that want be the case this year.

I HOPE YAL GOT A QB TO THROW TO HIGGINS...#LOP

I never count out a Pemberton coached team. Running the wingt hides a lot of flawes and keeps games close. Come playoff time, those new pieces will have 10 games of experinced and coached up by Mark. They lost some, but equal to what West lost....and one that West loss was the running back who was 70% of their offense.

YORK AND DOUST WAS 90% OF RHEAS OFFENCE....MY OWLS RAN THE SPREAD AND WE LIKE TO THROW...BUT IT DIDN'T WORK...AND WE HAD A BRAIN FREEZE LITERALLY....REMEMBER....THIS IS #BIGBOYFOOTBALL....YOU WILL NOT WINGT YOUR WAY THRU 4AAAAA....TOO MUCH PRIDE AND WAY TOO MANY RIVALS...AND WHATEVER FLAWS THE WINGT HIDES.....DIDN'T HIDE FROM THE VEER...AND THE BLUERAIDERS ARE WORKING ON THAT NOW WITH THE SAME COACH......INTERESTING.....#LOP

    • Deja vu all over again, 7 yrs apart. SMDH Does anybody talk to each other?
    • OK, well, that’s because two quarterbacks can’t start. That’s football 101. The main quarterback won the starting job, so he was on varsity, and the Seymour transfer did not win the starting job. He played some varsity. He was mainly junior varsity, and he balled out when healthy, so for the starting quarterback who’s been starting varsity since his freshman year, if you have any form of proof that he’s gotten worse, somehow, whether that means stats or whatnot, please feel free to share.
    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
