Taking nothing away from the lady owls. but McMinn co. allowed more than one goal, in fact they gave up one to the owls in the regular season ( a game won 4-1 by the lady cherokees ). And they did not have a record scoring player. the top scorer only had 11 goals .

The lady cherokees played red bank in the pouring down rain -- bad decision by the coach to play in such conditions-- since the mcminn style of play was affected by such terrible conditions

Just wanted to set some things strait.

*Coach Chrissy Mckinney is definately a great coach. She makes her Bradley girls work hard, makes sure they understand, and is just an all around graet person. She keeps her team focused and she knows what she is doing. We may not be "state champs" but we have lost a lot of great players but Coach is working hard to get the girls she needs and working us til we are STATE CHAMPS! GO BEARETTES!

Coach Ken McDonald of Franklin Road Academy is undoubtedly one of the best soccer coaches in the area, not to mention a classy individual, which is hard to find these days. Pulling double duty as girls and guys head soccer coach, Coach McDonald has taken a mediocre soccer program at FRA and placed both the girls and the guys teams at the top of District 9A, competing at the state level annually.

Coach Jim Burchett of Franklin High School state finalists

9 of the 12 state championships ever held for HS girls'

soccer B)

Who can match it?

Granted it may be a reflection on the "club" ball in the area, however you got to

understand......he get's a mix of players that have to become a team in his system

in a short period of time..........most club coaches can't do such in the other

9 months!

Hands down, Jim Burchett delivers! :)

    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
