Antwan
It looks like Cookeville made the adjustments to win. 34-6 in the last half and a few seconds. If it wasn't for that pesky scoreboard...the U would have won.
Antwan
There is no doubt that if CHS plays a first half like this against anyone on their schedule again...they will not win...except against Warren & LA. It truly sucks the Bee's blew it. The U didn't blow it. Cookeville played a dreadful 1st half. They made numerous mistakes. They cleaned that up in the 2nd half...and handed the rock to VJ. That happened numerous times to SC in Maynord's tenure at SC in the first game. They will correct their mistakes...and they did that in the 2nd half. It truly sucks the Bee's blew it. at 20-0 I didnt have know anything else to say while sitting there stunned. UH didn't blow it, With out the LB, CHS was the deeper and batter team. UH did mis a few scoring opprotunities inside the 15, but those kids played hard. Went toe to toe with the most talented CHS team probably ever, with one of their best coaches ever. Coach Herron had his kids ready.

UpperCumberlandMan
What the Cookeville folks take on the first game?
Reilavac1
We got a lot to work on. We won. Played terrible the first half, but was just a step, or two away from the same result as the second half. Hats of the UHS, they played hard. The QB is better than I thought he would be. He kept plays alive, and the Bee's alive. Vic did what Vic does. Run hard!!! UHS will have a good season, barring the QB gets hurt. *Hope #5 is ok. CHS will have a good season, if the same team, that has showed up to everything except the first half on friday, shows up. If that group shows up, then it will be a LONG year. I expect them to get it together, and be the team that many have touted them to be. On to LA. Your other team!!!! See you Friday. I hope to be there at kickoff. Have to work, and traffic will push me to get there by Kickoff.

UpperCumberlandMan
Hopefully CHS doesn't have a half or ever quarter like they did verses UHS. What is scary, UH did score in the second half and had it inside the 10 two more times in the second half but came up short. So even the effort in the second half on D was not up to par for the region CHS is in. No excuses, CHS has way to much talent for what happened Friday. If UH scores when inside the 10 twice, doesn't get greedy before the half and runs out the clock, or #5 dosent get hurt...they win. CHS needs to do some sole searching this week and come out Friday and play a full 4 quarters. And by the way, my team is Riverdale....they will be waiting down the road. CHS has time to fix this...but it better happen soon. Edited August 24, 2015 by UpperCumberlandMan
