Similar...just 35lbs lighter. lol They will compliment each other's abilities all season. Just hope we can stay healthy.

I gotcha brother. He's definitely a baller. The skys the limit for this squad. Weapons everywhere. Sanborn has impressed me a bunch. Tall, fast, and has those basketball player hands. He's physical too.

Built similar to Caldwell. Has wheels too! First cousin is QB at BGA. His other first cousin is Iowa's starting QB. Brother plays WR at App St.

dang app st. Is a pretty impressive squad. Remember when they downed Michigan and got paid to do so haha. Sounds like a family of athletes. Excited about this year. Oh the years when I remember Ole Sammy Samborn and his brother Harry being like 3 ft tall haha. Supposedly Sam is over 6ft now?

There is even more big time football in this kid's family. I won't go into all of that on here though. Sammy looks good on both sides of the ball. He can be a star.

Clay,CJ, and Tucker Beathard all played at Hillsboro Middle school and then went on to the private schools. Clay is at BGA,CJ is the starter at Iowa as a Jr, Tucker had a baseball scholorship to MTSU but pursued music. Jake is #4 for Fairview. he is their cousin. Their granddad is Bobby Beathard who was the GM of the Redskins and the Chargers i believe. So they might have a little football in their blood.

Don't forget that Jake's Dad, Jeff, is a former "Mr Irrelavent" draft pick who now scouts for the Panthers, and uncle Kurt is the OC at Illinois St. None of that really matters either, because they don't say a word about that stuff. They are truly great people who just want to fit in. We are fortunate to have them in Fairview. Edited by Jacketman89

    • If he wanted to play QB he should have either went to Heritage or William Blount and had a real good chance there. In stead he'll be exactly what he was going to be at Maryville. They already know who their QB is going to be in 2025 and it ain't going to be him.
    • Easier said than done. The man who ran for 250+ yards and 3TDs is gonna be back….and a lot bigger.
    • plus it removes the pressure around winning.
    • You are correct.   The teacher's pay scale is virtually the same in Knox County, now, as it is at Oak Ridge.   The coaching supplements are still higher at Oak Ridge, from what I was told, but not a huge difference.   Plus, Rusty is going from a position coach to an OC position, which is what he was at South Doyle and where his comfort zone is.  And from a special education teaching slot to a PE teaching slot.  There is a lot of positivity in that move without even considering the coaching aspect.   Anybody who sees something negative here is just looking for negativity to begin with.  But some live in that world.   Really good hire for Brent.  He now has two experienced and quality coordinators and can concentrate on being a head football coach.
    • He was pretty darn good for a freshman, but he will have a hard time seeing the field at Oakland for a good while, I’m afraid.
