Milan will win this one via mercy rule or I'll be dissapointed as I want the mustangs to have a challeng week 4 & dont see it happening if u cant mercy rule a rebuilding humboldt

agree froggy...Milan will mercy rule this one again....Humboldt "ain't what they used to be"...I will never understand why Humboldt tossed Coach Bland, who was an excellent coach and role model and replaced him with someone with ZERO high school coaching experience...but its Humboldt......and I think we all know the reason...

Okay bpm. Give me the goods brother. Couldn't make the peabody game due to family commitment. How good or bad is milan going forward the next 9 games. Due we have a shot against liberty and dburg

Yes we have a shot against Dyersburg. Liberty I don't know about. We looked very good Friday. Honestly, I think this team has more talent than last year. But whether or not they go as far is to be seen.

The defense was well prepared last week. They were in the right places to make plays. Malone just made them look bad. When Peabody tried to run and throw by conventional means it didn't work. Which is why we led most of the game. There had to come a point in Shane Jacobs head where he realized if his team was going to win Malone was going to have to keep the ball on every play and do a lot of improvising and that is exactly what he did.

Offense looks good. But Peabody had enough speed to contain pretty good which worries me about Liberty. The qb looked great. Peabody sold out to stop the run. The qb ran some play action with excellent ball fakes that burnt the Peabody secondary a few times and that helped loosen up the run game some. Will have to do that against Liberty.

Only had 1 turnover and 1 penalty but in my opinion they cost us the game. The one turnover was a fumble deep in our own territory. They recovered and scored shortly after. Penalty came on the Peabody game winning 4th qtr drive. We had just stopped them on a critical 3rd down. Kid got flagged for some extracurricular activity after the play. Personal foul automatic first down. You know what happens after that. Gotta fix these mental mistakes.

Cofo, not wanting to start anything, but what does its Humboldt......and I think we all know the reason... mean?  Of course my mind goes to a place that I hope I'm wrong about, but if     you're talking race, Jr Reid is the 1st african american head football coach at Humboldt, so I'm loss when you say its Humboldt......and I think we all know the reason...

Mlan will win easily!  I'm a Viking, but also a realist!  Humboldt has gotten too small to be a factor.  My graduating class in 87' was about 175, that's darn near the enrollment for the entire high school.  SMH!  It's sad, but I still love my hometown team.

COFO, if you didn't know Coach Bland is back on Humboldt coaching staff so whatever happen between him & the administration, he was man enough to come back & assist the coaching staff! So, I respect him for that & working with the kids so if he's over I suggest everybody else gets over it!

OK....explain to me why Coach Bland was replaced...winning record....got them into the playoffs...respect from the players...he loved his players and they played their hearts out for him...then he was tossed....and I never mentioned race...you did...

No you didnt mention race, but you implied it by saying but it's Humboldt, and everyone knew the reason, so I made my reply based on that.  What did you mean by saying that? My point was if that's what you were speaking of, then you're wrong, because Jr. is the 1ST african american head football coach. So if that's what you meant, there's nothing to justify that!  Never said bland wasn't a good coach, but you can't say Jr is either.  His 1st season they went to the 3rd round of the playoffs and had Union City until the Tornadoes scored with about 30-secs left in the game to win.  So again, not starting anything, because we all have the rights to voice our opinion, but the oh well it's humboldt just seemed to have implied something. That's all!

    • I believe that was last year. I was interested in the Jones vs Baker comment, so I went back and looked at GC. I am not a fan of either nor am I a baseball guru. This looks like to me the duel was not close and if the errors would not have been made Eagleville would have won. I assume you are a little biased. I do think your mph for Jeffcoat and Baker must be from last year.  Baker-85 pitches 67 strikes. 5.2 innings, 5H, 1BB, 0ER and 7K's. 3 errors  Jones- 78 pitches 37 strikes. 4 innings, 2H, 5BB, 0ER and 1K. 1 error   Adams and the UH kid are really good as well. What about South Pitt and Oakdale? I heard they have some good ones.
    • I hate this for all the kids in the program and fans alike. I can't recall of anything like this before in my lifetime but I'm sure it isn't a first. After criminal investigations are complete and the TSSAA looks into this the program it will be facing Nuclear Winter for some time to come. It's always the innocent left behind that end up paying the price for something someone else has done. I'm sure the transfer portal will be very active in Clinton over the summer months. How could you find a good coach worth his salt that would take on a situation like this not knowing what will happen.
    • I’ve seen Jeffcoat in person twice and he was 84-87 both times and the one time I saw Baker he was low 80’s, he actually got out dueled by Jones from ER in that outing.
