DEM OWLS TRAVEL TO A HIGH SCORING ERWIN NC TEAM THIS FRIDAY...WILL THE DEFENSE CAUSE A LOW SCORING GAME AND COULD THE OFFENSE SCORE ENOUGH TO GET THE WIN ON THE ROAD?? #LOP I WILL RIDE WITH DEM OWLS ALL DAY!!#LOP

 

Watch out for the North Carolina officials they love to screw over Tennessee teams. That along with the game being in Asheville is the reason I have to pick Erwin by less than 7.

I was at that game to. I live in NC but right on the state line. That was a great game to watch. I thought that was a bad call to. It was called late right after the kid scored for Elizabethton. That was a good Asheville team. One of the kids on that Asheville team is in the NFL now. Elizabethton got some revenge on some NC over the past few years.Watched Knox West last year beat Asheville at Asheville and the refs called a good game.

I haven't decided if I like PA or not yet (lol) but I don't believe Erwin will be able to move the ball on Dem Owls this week with much success. I think the defense is just as tough as some initially believed it would be. I think The Owls Offense shows up big this week and this will be their best game  yet.  Owls win this one handily . Just don't tell PA his head might explode.

Haha I'll tactfully take the compliment, Blaze. I think the Owls are right where they need to be at this point in the season. Playing Riverdale and now Erwin early is going to grow up our young / inexperienced guys just in time for district play. I saw a lot of strides made against Signal. Hopefully we are still healthy and hungry!

We are in the same boat here at Blackman with ClayChalkville then McCallie .We put up a hard fought ugly win against McCallie Friday and still have 3 REAL tough test in front of us. I will be silently rooting fro DEM OWL'S this week... But if Passive Aggressive finds out  I'll never hear the end of it. Go Owls!!!!!!

Don't know if Erwin can beat you guys. They have a really good QB. They lost their 1st game to a Georgia defending state champions.He was 22-29 304 yards 5 tds but he hurt his ankle. He didn't play Friday.

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!

      I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
