Haven't watched film on CA but what about quarterback play? Had heard this was a backup playing in these first two games. Any truth to this? Either way, I don't think we can take any one on our schedule lightly. We just not that dominant and it showed last Friday night!

I havent noticed or heard that Rings...would be interested in seeing or hearing if that is in fact the case. I have there Roster and they have 4 players listed as a QB (only 1 is listed ONLY as a QB--#10). I believe we can take one or more of these players off the list as #16 is a freshman listed at 5'4... And #4 who ive been told is talented as a freshman played RB/WR in the Eagleville game but for the record did not stand out in any way. So that leaves #10(Bauer/JR) and #15(Conn/SR). Im going to go check the film to see who played QB in the first 2 games but it looked like #10 played last week.

FWIW.

And low and behold 3rd play of the game of last weeks game....#15 standing on sideline again. Good call. Would like to know if hes a full go this week if so how much better is he than #10?

Here is a write up on CA done a month or so ago. Turns out #15 is a heck of a back...named District 10's Back of the Yr last yr.

Yep, our senior QB is out nursing a severe ankle sprain, which he got in the jamboree.  He was a huge part of our offense, but # 10 has stepped up admirably.  When Conn returns our offense will look significantly different.  Not sure if that will be this week or next.

Y'all do check out the Liberty Grill, and do check out the CA tailgating scene.  Last week there were 50 groups with tents set up pre-game.    Some of us that do the field painting hang out by the maintenance shed on the visitors side before, during, and after the game, so be sure to stop by and introduce yourselves, and maybe grab a bite to eat.  There is usually chicken or some ribs smoking over by the shed.

Thanks Mono!! See if some of us cant get over that way and say hello.

Also sorry to hear about #15 but sounds like he will be back in time for the gauntlet set down called Region 6 play. Being at yalls house and the first Region game add in the fact he is the returning back of the yr frm the old district 10 and sounds like we will have a barnburner on our hands! Maybe as we get closer to the game you can keep us updated on his health. FTR, #10 looks like a true QB and is a talent all in his own right.

    • And can you tell me who those two quarterbacks were, and every kid that was put into college from Bearden is a Bearden kid? It’s kind of why they graduated from Bearden.   and I would definitely not consider ETSU “waste”…
    • Most of this is complete gibberish. But the one part I could decipher is putting kids in college. This coaching staff hasn’t put a single Bearden kid in college. They completed wasted one of the best WRs in East TN and have ruined two talented QBs. All because they’re in over their heads.
    • Well, I’d hope the new coaching staff thinks they are all that because they can always walk around the school, anytime they want, thinking that, especially for what they’ve done for the student athletes and the players, putting more kids in college in his first season than the old coaching staff did in numerous years combined, but we will just sweep over that because I know you don’t like facts. But trust me, nobody wanted Mr. Big britches, made the star player switch to quarterback, which is ultimately the reason he ended up transferring to play the position. He loved, but unfortunately, had to be at another school because Mr. Big Britches doesn’t like when a teenager knows more than him, but can’t expect much coming from a guy who used all class throwing pencils up into the ceiling and making fun of football kids who were failing class right to their face, and in front of numerous students, even projecting on the board most of the time.
    • After that first paragraph, I can see why you’re a TA and not a teacher. Have you made the move from South Knoxville to Bearden yet?    Maybe he left because he is an actual teacher and coach, and didn’t want to be associated with a group of foul mouthed middle school coaches who like to pretend they’re big time.
    • Yeah and the coach is gone. Whole bizarre situation here. We played them a couple of times at MTSU last few years. She was a player for sure.
