Same thing that happened last year but one point deffrence in the score !! A great QB or a 5 star receiver (oak ridge ) can make ur whole defense look bad !! Our d backs haven't been well coached for years ... Not to down any of the kids playing (because they are busting their tails out there ) it's just simple fundamentals there not coached completely ... i have noticed this year our d backs are not getting burned , (they just need to get them hands up ) !!

How does this turn out? Maupin can run the ball. He has proven that. He can throw the ball. We all see that.

Defense comes to play when it's needed. But we can't allow 400+ passing yards again.

I don't believe that DB will be quite able to name the score in this one, but I certainly expect that they will win handily.

HVA runs a spread offense, and they have a nice running game. They have three or four good backs. QB rarely runs. Passing game is mostly horizontal as opposed to a vertical attack. HVA's QB is a Farragut transfer, and he had only been with the team for a couple of weeks when the then starting QB broke his leg.

They don't have a lot depth. Most skill players and linemen play both ways. Line has nice size, but again they play both ways. WRs are not a threat.

Place kicking is a bit of a disaster. Seems like they miss as many XPs as they make.

Well coached team.

The story of the game will be HVA's ability to stay ahead of the chains. If they find themselves looking at second or third and long, they will be in real trouble.

I expect nothing but a battle from the Hardin Valley Hawks. That's a good school with great fan support. I was at J Fred when DB hosted the Hawks in a Sub State Baseball Game... and the Hawks won the State Title.

Super 32 Match-Up and it will be tough

Homecoming DB

Roll Tribe Roll

I agree. No walk in the park. Tribe wins, though.

It will be interesting to see how many fans HVA brings to J. Fred.

Yes, they had a great baseball team. Just like that other team in West Knoxville.

I will get stats from Sevier Co. game tonight. Easy to say that #6 Cole Maupin has developed quickly into a play maker and IMO one of the greatest leaders Clark has ever had at the QB position. #6 makes the running open up for #5 Thompson and #4 Rodgers. All 3 had monster games last week and will be called on again this week to rack up yards and keep ball control for DB

    • One school has said it, it was York…who Oneida and many school that played them before we did claimed that they were the dirtiest bunch they’ve played. Riverside didn’t call us dirty nor did smith after they beat us. Ur only dirty if your the one giving out the whoopins.
    • If it was anyone but #8 I would agree with you. Theirs a couple people on that team that probably would. Not him. And I who was standing on the 1st base line fence saw clearly that the boys foot was covering more than half the bag.
    • If y’all lose to Farragut something awful has happened.
    • Get him to Bearden ASAP! Or anywhere, Karns hs is in rough shape, probably not getting out of it anytime soon.
    • I'm not a Powell grad.  I am a Bearden grad.   My son and daughter are Powell grads.   I did radio play by play for Powell, my last year was 2013. I also did radio play by play for South Doyle, and my last gig was at Maryville before I retired.   My oldest grandson plays in the Karns Middle program, so I see more Karns games than I do Powell these days.  I've been to 3 Powell games since 2013.   I don't have any ties to Powell, haven't since 2013.   No "y'all" there.    And the kid you are talking about does have a very good arm, but he's not the QB that Deuce Rogers is.  Rogers is a legit dual threat guy.  The younger kid now at Clinton, or about to be at Clinton, isn't the dual threat that Rogers is.
