Cannon county worst coached team?

Pickett is 1A Cannon is 3A. Pickett has one K-8 school ( I think that I am correct) Cannnon has six k-8 schools of which none have a football team. Pickett one school has a football team. so whoever is coaching at Cannon has kids that are playing, that my have not starting playing, until their freshman season.Just a tough place to coach and has been for a long time.

Maybe after next year if things are not going better they could play 2 years of non-league/jv opponents. Getting beaten down each week will not get the interest going.

If cannon county has never had a middle school they are will never get one. But do they not have jr league football teams, if I was the football coach knowing that I don't have a so called middle school team I would put coaches on my staff or go himself to the younger league teams and be active and take advantage of that resource and get those kids skilled in the things they need to know before high school football. Making excuses will never work on any level take what you have a work with it and make it the best. But after what I witnessed on Friday night in Smithville it does not matter what this current coach does it will not change, he as a coach is way behind any middle school coach. Maybe the administration will make a change and at least put some priority in the football program.
