I think of physical more as skill and technique over 4 quarters. We have matched up against spread teams and running teams. Watertown's QB was running for his life in the 2nd. So was Justin Winn last year. Page had some early success then 0 in the second half. Our own turnovers in wet conditions did us in. We still were within a 2 pt conversion of taking them to OT for the 2nd straight year. Page was a pure spread offense. Watertown's biggest problem for their opponents is #5. He's a bonafide all-state player.

Boy Page must have left an impression on you! You have been referring back to that game all year. From what I remember watching that game on film Page fumbles the ball twice inside the 5 yard line and had a TD called back and another big gain inside the 10 yard line called back. Coach Kriesky has done a great job but all you talk about is Page. We played them and they were no world beaters so move on....geez

I saw some Marion Co. guys at the game last night. I wonder if they felt Forrest was as terrible and unathletic as Ambassador thinks they are?

Hmmmm....... I seem to remember an extremely talented 09 Forrest team (who also finished regular season 9-1) get beat at home by Marion County 1st round. Squandered a 17 point lead in the second half, not looking for a repeat.

One thing that won't be the same is that mc probably won't be down by 17 points. This team is pretty explosive and I'm not sure whether y'all have given up a lot of points on y'all's first team or have been scored on when you had your jv in like us a lott of the time. Was that the year we went to the semis or a different year? I would also wager that we are way better than the page team that beat y'all, but you never know. Hopefully both teams will make it and be fully healthy.

It was the year before. We beat Boyd in the qtrs and lost to Alcoa in the semis.

I think we are better than that 6-4 team that year for sure. If we even make it to the 2nd rd to face Forrest I think the home field gives them the advantage.

    • Defending 2A state Champs Westview Lady Chargers are pretty tough. They lost a bunch of production off last year's squad but returned some talent as well. They still McCall Simms, a Tennesseee Lady Vol softball commit as well as solid talent around the diamond. I dont think they are as good as last season but they will definitely be a tough out. Huntingdon Lady Mustangs seem to be pretty stout as well. Don't know much about Riverside other than Westview defeated them earlier in regions. West Tennessee softball is pretty solid all around id say.
    • Eagleville couldn’t catch up to Jones, he did have his location issues but in that game Eagleville popped up everything and the one hit they did have could have been ruled an error. Jeffcoat was a lot sharper in the beginning of the season last year than the end. ER ran out of pitching and still was in striking distance but none the less the better team one. Last seasons tournament was A LOT more balanced and talented. South Pitts starter is a Lefty who was low 80’s but couldn’t maintain his velo throughout the  outing, their #2 was more impressive last year, we knocked him around this year and his mph was down some. Their #3 isn’t bad neither, throws a lot of strikes and sits high 70’s.
    • He actually had a really solid spring.  I could see him getting some backup snaps on offense and be a regular on special teams.  Really athletic kid who can run.
    • Heard Seq has gotten a lot stronger this off season. Can’t wait to see how the boys do this year
