My favorite part of the game is when the CAK player ran the Alcoa player out of bounds. alcoas trainer Miss Fat Or something like that took off like she was going to get in the scuffle. We told our players if we end up playing Alcoa in the playoffs if she gets in your face give her just what she deserves. I've never seen a trainer do anything like that. I think she may need to be reeled in a bit.

What a classless comment. Peggy, the trainer in question, cares more about kids then any trainer I have ever seen (they all care a great deal). She is a legend at Alcoa for her care for all the sports. She will work a girls softball game, a track practice and boys soccer all in the same day with no complaints and a smile. She will then be available at 7 AM the next morning to do therapy on injured athletes from all over Blount County, regardless of school. If it had been a CAK player that had been thrown into the wall, I can assure you that Peggy on her 2 artificial knees would have been just as quick to the spot and just as engaged to keep a player from getting hurt as she was for an Alcoa player. You need to know what you are talking about before you open your mouth to insult a fine, dedicated professional.

LOL! That trainer would ride you and most ALL of you charging Weenie Dogs like a Shetland pony!! Mess with the Peg and the Alcoa parking lot will be full of knox co vehicles the next morning!

Calling out trainers and individual athletes is indeed classless.

    • One final thought. Coach Keith claims he was not aware of the player's failing grades. I won't comment on that, just to say this, IF he did not, whose job was it to see that this kid did not play ball at CHS? That person should be looking for a job and they might be, I don't know.
    • They have fired the principal, 2 teachers, at least 1 counsellor and 1 coach so far. I don't see it from my view in Oak Ridge as a coach thing, he  was just implicated in asking 1 teacher to  fix 1 kid's grades.   In our local media(Clinton and Oak Ridge)the principal is who is the originator and pusher of the fraud. The others are peripheral. The coach isn't even the big story, just here on a sports site.  The media view is the principal did it to cause CHS to be seen as excellent by the state. He committed fraud to do that so he might spend a little time in jail IF that is valid.
    • And from coach himself, he wasn’t told he was let go because of the ineligible player.    that’s just what the schools needed to happen to fit their bull
    • Wish it was made clear before a coach gets let go or not retained instead of being sold as the reason he was in trouble. I was told the kids who got grades changed, 97% or better were non athletes but the coach is taking all the heat so the schools can pretend it wasn’t their job to know. heck, what do you think could happen when you hire husband and wife as head principal and head guidance….   that’s not being said though…
    • Hmmmmm……doe dee doe doe.  Last time I came up there to watch my pirates one of those guys in that pickup trucks flattened the tires on the lawnmower.  This is payback.  You can bet the lawnmower on that.
