Round 1: Oneida @ Oakdale

And GB took two fumbles back to get that. Oakdale will score once maybe twice at best against Oneida.

In fairness yes they did use 2 scoop & scores but that changed their offense also. They went to a slower paced, more ball control style up multiple scores in the second half. If they don't get those and keep the play calling wide open then they probably still score about that. Then again if they don't and we take advantage of a few other situations then we may have combined for 80-90 points again. At any rate that's how it happened and if not they probably would have gotten a score or 3 on offense before going clock management on us anyway. They're for real this year, danged bunch of transfer getting recruiters lol.

How did Oneidas middle school do this year? I know they stomped us this year. Heard they had some big ole boys on the line.

Undefeated and won that regional thing again, I think that's 7 in a row now. I think their record is something like 74-4 since 2008 or 2009.

Oakdale is capable of scoring quick. They put up 29 on Coalfield in two quarters. Oakdale also had 7 turnovers against Oneida the first time (if I remember correctly). I think Oakdale comes out strong. Surviving 4 quarters against a physical Oneida team will be their biggest struggle

LG10, I'd be willing to venture a Snow burger with you on Oakdale scoring 28+ on our starters if interested.

I have saw several Oakdale games, they are vastly improved from years past but they are still on their journey getting there. Again not trying to sound mean or ugly, I'm a big time Oakdale supporter. I just don't think they've got the horses yet.

The coalfield secondary is awful though. You can't run it against coalfield but throwing teams will have success. Oneida has a good defense all the way around. If Oakdale scores 28 on Oneida then they will pull off the upset. Also interested to see how Oakdale responds to facing real competition this week. They haven't been challenged in a while.
