Wow. Tough loss for the Owls. Got to give them credit though for holding RC to only 14 points with their 2 best defenders out.

I wish Noel Patterson would have been able to play. He tried. Punt returns (fair catches), kickoff returns, and decoy WR. HUGE LOSS FOR THE RHEA COUNTY OFFENSE. We also had a hearty effort from Smith #41(torn ACL). -I thought 7 got back in the game... both teams were wounded, but Jackson was definitely a monster loss for the OWLS.

Great season Ooltewah, it seems the Owls vs Eagles is turning into a good rivalry. Just watched a bunch of kids from both teams leave it all on the field. Ooltewah's defense stood tall and made some plays even without Jackson. Nick Putnam (7) was a beast, got hurt in the 1st half, came back and stuck it out the second half, very gutty performance. Rhea also had guys playing through some injuries: Patterson (11) in a very limited role, Bice (21) and Smith (41) who is trying to play with a torn ACL (had some nice runs tonight).

Eagles were fortunate to pull it out with 6 fumbles, but great game by Eddie Davis, ran the ball hard, played solid defense and of course blocked the extra point that would have tied the game (that play will go down in Eagle history). Rhea needs to get healthy for next week and take better care of the football to have a shot against Coach Linginfelter and the Smokey Bears. Go Eagles!

They do, but SC will score some points, and their D has improved over the course of the season. They have 2 guys as good of athlete as Freeman is (banks, and Matthews)

Rhea's defense will be up to the challenge. I think they match up well with SC. That wing-t is looking like a well oiled machine though, if they can hang onto the ball.

    • The amount of people pooing on UH is crazy. They're a noticably better team than last year when they made state and were competitive , AND they run ruled Eagleville a few weeks ago. Now I understand Eagleville was missing a few guys, but they still. They. Run. Ruled. Eagleville. 1st single A team to run rule Eagleville since when? Pre 2017??
    • If that Yellow Paint is all gone I'll flat bet it didn't wash off there. I bet that took some scrubbing to remove that if it is gone. Lacrosse is one of those northern sports all these misplaced Yankee's that are posion to the community brought in by  (Blount Partnership, ( The Devil) with them so somebody allowed them to paint their markings on the field that cost more than the twenty top people on payroll at Maryville make a year. All this to please the 1% Club and the 25 people that would come to see it. All in the name of WOKE!!!!!!
    • They will probably, struggle
    • Dyersburg is going to be good, really good. As mentioned, they have a lot of talent on the way and the trio of Chelby, Joya, and KayKay will only be better with a full season together under their belt. To me, playing in Murfreesboro two consecutive postseasons will only serve to make them more dangerous if/when they stand among the final eight teams this March. Experience, good or bad, always makes you better. And not only do they have experience, they know how to win there. Schedules are coming together for all of the teams and I am excited about what I am seeing on the preliminary drafts on Dyersburg’s schedule. I know I am being a tease, but it’s simply not my place to announce what another school is doing. With that said, I won’t go into specifics. However, I am excited about renewed home and away contracts for the non-district portion of the calendar. I think west Tennessee will have a lot of interest as well.
    • What does everyone have in the final 8? In no particular order. 1. Eagleville 2. Gordonsville 3. Greenback 4. Oakdale 5. South Pitt/ East Robertson-- not sure 6. Richland 7. Halls 8. Union City
