Then I'd be all up in that school like I was with my older boy when he was in there. I knew every last one of those kids. I knew the teachers and the administrators. The middle school he went to was o.k. but the high school has had it's problems with drugs, teen pregnancy, violence. Seems to be getting better from what I hear, but when I was looking at high school options we started looking at our budget. Plus Brothers was an established coach coming in new and I was familiar with his track record and Hillwood had gone through like 4 or 5 coaches in 7 years. The coach wasn't making hudl videos for the kids or trying to get them into college. Every man for himself and they played like it.  Coach Kurt Page is doing a great job over there now and is starting to win back some of those parents and kids that would've gone somewhere else. In his first year, he took a program that had no wins and got them back to being competitive. But did I know 4 years ago that a Kurt Page would come along or that the school would make a rebound? I didn't. I've got a lot of former players over there and a bunch at Pearl-Cohn that have really made a difference in their schools and programs. But it was a crap shoot at one time and the ones at Hillwood were miserable until Coach Page took over and some just stopped playing football altogether.

Looking back, NCS worked out for us. Great education, good influences and a good football program with college options. If I looked like my son looks now when I was in high school I would've been a father much sooner. I was not nearly the well-rounded godly young man he has become.

Good. Im glad you got your response. Now, be a tough guy, grow a pair if it aint too late, and stop teaching your kids to be wussies with an excuse for everytime they fail! You either want to play or you dont!!! We want to play the best. We thought yall were gonna bring it. Apparently all you are gonna bring are excuses.

You guys have a lot to be proud of. And I can promise you the teachers and coaches at WC are top notch. I've said this on here before.... If I could perform my job in a community like Waynesboro, Cedar Hill, or Erin, etc., that's where I'd be living. You don't know how good you have it.

WC will bring it, don't you worry you will get our best, as far as us teaching our kids to be "Wussies" as you say, that was uncalled for! Come on man!  I assure you this, I know these WC posters, and none are teaching their kids to be that!

    • Groves got the ball over 20+ times. His son arguably played the best for East in that game. 3rd and long multiple times and he came up big to continue a couple drives. Please shut up for the 3rd year in a row
    • And can you tell me who those two quarterbacks were, and every kid that was put into college from Bearden is a Bearden kid? It’s kind of why they graduated from Bearden.   and I would definitely not consider ETSU “waste”…
    • Most of this is complete gibberish. But the one part I could decipher is putting kids in college. This coaching staff hasn’t put a single Bearden kid in college. They completed wasted one of the best WRs in East TN and have ruined two talented QBs. All because they’re in over their heads.
    • Well, I’d hope the new coaching staff thinks they are all that because they can always walk around the school, anytime they want, thinking that, especially for what they’ve done for the student athletes and the players, putting more kids in college in his first season than the old coaching staff did in numerous years combined, but we will just sweep over that because I know you don’t like facts. But trust me, nobody wanted Mr. Big britches, made the star player switch to quarterback, which is ultimately the reason he ended up transferring to play the position. He loved, but unfortunately, had to be at another school because Mr. Big Britches doesn’t like when a teenager knows more than him, but can’t expect much coming from a guy who used all class throwing pencils up into the ceiling and making fun of football kids who were failing class right to their face, and in front of numerous students, even projecting on the board most of the time.
    • After that first paragraph, I can see why you’re a TA and not a teacher. Have you made the move from South Knoxville to Bearden yet?    Maybe he left because he is an actual teacher and coach, and didn’t want to be associated with a group of foul mouthed middle school coaches who like to pretend they’re big time.
