Really I'm glad for this win. But we should've beat this team by 40 we took our foot off the gas. This team was very overrated.

The passed the Look test because they was HUGE but once them pads got the popping and got hit a few times it was a different story. They thought they was gone be able to run and do what they really wanted to do. We got to there QB all night and by the 4th Q he didn't want to get hit no more. It was a lot of talking during the game but we sent them home crying so it worked out.

I agree with Firebird80; PC took their foot off the gas and let East get their second wind after Pearl punched them in the mouth in the 1st quarter. East looked able to match up athlete wise, but PC wanted it more, especially at the start. I think PC should have gone more hurry up in the first half. I almost passed out when I saw them actually run clock late in the 2nd qtr by waiting for the back judge to start counting. PC wanted it more early, and by the time East caught their breath it was too late. I think PC could have made this ugly if they kept their foot on the gas. Any of you PC guys know what happened to Groves? I heard it was his ankle. I think his absence hurt your passing game because I know Jimmy loves to chuck it deep to him. Glad to see the 615 take down the 901. Now go play a complete game and bring the gold ball home to Region 5-4A; DON'T PLAY WITH IT, YEP YEP!! The Pearl Cohn Firebirds are ON THE MOVE to Cookeville.

 

Commish, having only saw East tonight they had more athletes than Springfield but we may have been a more mentally tough and focused team. They came out and looked totally lost, and the fire the Firebirds had at the start just made it worse for East. East hung tough after the first quarter but kept shooting themselves in the foot. They would have been a tough matchup for us.

Is that all you are expecting...wishful thinking! We will be in the house. You guys sure do talk a lot of noise and just plain disrespectful. Where does it come from? I could understand if you were Maryville or somebody. I hope your guys back up your words. You got stopped by a Memphis team last year. These guys used to playing against some of the best schools and talent in the state ie. Whitehaven, White Station, etc. We were 5A the last six years with an enrollment smaller than yours. We like competition. We are a 3A size school playing 4A this year. So, we are ready for whatever you got! This is my last post until Sat. Win or lose you will respect us when it is over. We not coming to lose though!
