There's an excuse coming probably before I can even get this posted. I remember the BA - Science Hill game last year went down to the final whistle. The Maryville - Science Hill game was over after the first quarter. I know its just a two game comparison but still a common opponent comparison that can't be overlooked because of the huge point spread difference. Wouldn't be like that every year of course but would probably be like that most years. Even the teams in D2 have off years. Maryville doesn't have off years.

I was at this game and Malik Mcgue was single handily the best play maker BA has played in the last 5 yrs no question asked. Their offense was insane. What you failed to Mention though is the fact that the BA offense put up almost 700 yards on the “best science hill team ever" in one of BA “down" years. Also don't forget BA had a ton of their defensive starters missing and not to mention the QB who would have been best in the state last year. BA juts overlooked them some that's all that happened and combine that with turnovers it made for a tight game Edited by steelerfan32

By "league" I mean D2 AA which year in and year out produces the most D1 athletes and has the best competition.

So how do you propose that Maryville switch leagues?  You know, to prove that they are an elite team.  Cause after all, everyone knows that year in and year out, 6A is weak.  Maryville, Oakland, Blackman, Whitehaven, etc would not stand a chance against all of those D2 powerhouses

    • You could trade or swap any 2-4 IMO . WC is rebuilding, PC loses the presence of 4 year stud Joshua Warren. Mcewen lacks the speed the other teams have , and also lost its top two way player from last season . HRB will look a lot different this coming season.. they return a ton of experience (though still a little on the young side as they are mostly JRs and SO ) but I liked what I saw out of them vs Mcnairy Central , I was hearing MC had 18 SRs , so that’s usually a death sentence vs small 1A schools I don’t care who they are . HRB looked to have the best player on the field , Brady can really run it .. reminds me of Ganaway but more of a WR .. the new regime will be a positive for them .
    • watch out for those Red Boiling Bulldogs
    • Never too early for football talk and good as time as any to start a new thread for this region after spring scrimmages have been completed. This region is all up for grabs after Mckenzie.. Mckenzie should run away with it and not stop until Chattanooga . My prediction  Mckenzie  Houston County  HRB Mcewen  West Carroll  Perry County
    • Agreed EastNasty. I honestly can't remember the last time metro had a big time QB recruit. I know several that played QB but weren't being recruited as a QB.
    • Don’t think they was using the current system and I personally don’t consider them Metro schools.
