York defense is very improved, Very one demensional offense with cravens running the ball 20+ times

I was surprised how one demensional they were. I sure hope this was first game jitters or its gonna be another long year. I hate to loose an opening game like that. I'd think they have worked on this game for months. Now you have 8 days and most the time 7 for the next. A worried Dragon fan here. LETS GO DRAGONS!!!!!

dont be too worried. UHS lost to them last season and won this region. Stone is predicted in Murphy Fair to win their 4a region with some good teams in it. Did YI have any players hurt?

There was a few in street clothes im not sure how much they play normally. The best running back was kicking only last night. Not sure what was wrong with him but that had to hurt some I'd think. I'm not in a panic yet but it sure took some wind out of my sails.

if you're talking about #36, he played offense until about halfway through the third and came off limping

Last year Stone beat up our whole region so York will be competitive in region play.

I heard stone had 4 td's called back if that's the case then the score doesn't reflect how this game really was..I thought York would have kept the game closer but it doesn't sound as if their offense is as explosive as last year..

Well if they had 4 called back that means they illegally scored but I get your meaning. I don't think that most of our region teams will have as good of a defense as Stone and first games will always have a lot of mistakes.

    • Dyersburg may win back to back to back championships. They are going to be hands down the best 3A team. Plus their District/region/sectionals are not very good. They basically just have to make it to region out of a 5 team district that has a few decent teams. South Gibson will be okay but they graduate their best player and there is nobody in the region 7 or region 8 who is going to compete with them.
    • I remember very well watching things change in the late 80's and yes it's all schools. Most people that are in charge today have any idea because they were raised and taught under this social experiment so they don't have a clue. Anyone that does see the truth for what it is usually try and hide it by blending in so that the School Gestapo doesn't round them up and take them to the Fuhrer ( kindly putting it ). Yes it is all schools not just Maryville. This train ride is not headed in a good direction and if the public had seen a movie of what's happening now back in 1980 everyone would have been headed home afterwards to change underware.
    • Hoping to make the playoffs.
    • You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.
    • He was a bruise but Aaron Dykes is HVA’s best RB ever.
