Governm
They did well while Taylor was there because Devron Young and other talented players. The coach there now did well last year without any big name players.I know Bearden had some good players during that time, but you have to give Taylor some credit. Region 4 3A was tough from top to bottom , especially in 2009 and 2010. And Bearden was winning during that time. Pretty much everyone in that region was competitive. Even Heritage was unusually good in 2009 when they had Michael Cermak. It takes more than good players to win when everyone you play is good. It's obvious that Taylor was doing something right. He only had one bad year, which was 2013 when he resigned. Edited February 3, 2016 by Governors91
HSfootballan
He may have been the right choice but he certainly wasn't the first or second choice. Was Coach Taylor approached for the job?
IrishBBall
I know he is taking several Bearden assistants with him.

adalum96
And who would that be? Have heard that both Hunter Fendley and Brian Tanner will join Brad at Karns.
chsbobcat09
Taylor was def the right choice here. He's already making changes there by getting rid of some of those coaches on that staff that Kilgore had. They sugar coated by saying Hassell resigned his position. Truth is it didn't take Taylor long to figure out Hassell couldn't coach a middle school team, much less high school. Expect more of the coaches on that staff to be let go. Taylor may never win big at Karns, but I guarantee he has that team competing in a couple of years.
