Any names being tossed around for the DC job? It appears by previous comments that a good coach was let go at Moore Co. She'd be a nice replacement for Cope, but I can about guarantee you that DC will hire a 100% local this time around.

Bruce Slatten is a he, not a she.  Coached Perry Co. boys to a State Championship a few years back.

If I'm not mistaken Coach Slatten is from White County.. Great coach, well liked and would be an asset to any program. He'd be a good hire at Dekalb. Not sure what the Cope situation is, but IMO he truly helped the DC program get out of the basement.

I don't get firing Cope at all.  He took a program that was in the gutter and has won 20 games several times.  In an extremely tough distict, too.

Don't be deceived by the amount of wins. Half of them were against teams that would be blown out by any school in the area. Our schedule was embarrassing.
