Fairview pretty much got dominated by Marshall County in 1s vs 1st tonight. I knew we would struggle to slow their offense but felt like we could score on them. I was wrong.

Marshall County is going to be stout!

Marshall County has a great shot to make it to the quarters, back to the semis, or even all the way to Cookeville this year in 4A. Fairview will not play a more challenging opposition throughout the 2016 regular season I'm sure it would be safe to say.

The kid lived in a whole different county. Yes I would say when it come to high school athletics that is a heinous crime

The article didn't say the kid lived out of the school's zone, but if he did, that's a flagrant violation.  The story simply said the coach gave the kid a ride to practice. I would have thought the article would have mentioned the major offense instead of the petty one, but you never know with sports writers.

Glad August is finally here and high school football is upon us! I know my Eagles will be young and inexperienced this year but Im really excited about this new coaching staff. I know this isn't going to be our year or maybe not even next year. It takes time to build a program and this is the year we start that transition. I would like to see them show progress throughout the season and be a better football team at the end of the year than the beginning. Goodluck to all and safety to all the players.

True. That is why they got a 2 year probation. Kid lives in Giles County

    • Well, I’d hope the new coaching staff thinks they are all that because they can always walk around the school, anytime they want, thinking that, especially for what they’ve done for the student athletes and the players, putting more kids in college in his first season than the old coaching staff did in numerous years combined, but we will just sweep over that because I know you don’t like facts. But trust me, nobody wanted Mr. Big britches, made the star player switch to quarterback, which is ultimately the reason he ended up transferring to play the position. He loved, but unfortunately, had to be at another school because Mr. Big Britches doesn’t like when a teenager knows more than him, but can’t expect much coming from a guy who used all class throwing pencils up into the ceiling and making fun of football kids who were failing class right to their face, and in front of numerous students, even projecting on the board most of the time.
    • After that first paragraph, I can see why you’re a TA and not a teacher. Have you made the move from South Knoxville to Bearden yet?    Maybe he left because he is an actual teacher and coach, and didn’t want to be associated with a group of foul mouthed middle school coaches who like to pretend they’re big time.
    • Yeah and the coach is gone. Whole bizarre situation here. We played them a couple of times at MTSU last few years. She was a player for sure.
    • This whole situation is bonkers. You don’t just kick your star player off the team just because you heard them say the F word; the coach definitely had something against the player, or somebody definitely did. Also, nobody has brought up the idea that the school blackmailed the college to get the college to withdraw the scholarship offer, not to mention that the coach who kicked her off is no longer even with the program; they were fired. I think this is a pretty easy lawsuit. I don’t know if she should deserve that much money, but I think she should get enough money for a full-ride scholarship if she cannot get one after this situation.
    • Oh yeah, I’m sure you are different people just always on the same thread for some reason, always agreeing with each other, perhaps just a bunch of dorks who would like to ###### and moan about high school football coaches do a lot of other students, so you make a football team and get a yell at them. When they do something wrong, but I’m sure you don’t like that, do you?   and I’m sure I’m aware of where you get information. A teacher who was on the coaching staff but was fired after the new coaching and staff came in and realized he actually had to start taking his assistant job a little bit more seriously than just wanting to make a little extra cash on the side, hardly even showing up to most practices, should’ve left with his buddy to go to Farragut. I’m sure he could get him a defensive coaching job, but I doubt he will be there in three years. Looking at the way Farragut is currently going.
