Tennessee High School Pre-season 2016

Didn't see anyone else make it so I guess I'll do it. I know there are a few fellow Vikings out there. After last year's second half meltdown I think THS enters this year with less individual talent and more overall team ability. I think we really found an identity at the back half of Crockett and Halls. I think with a full season behind a QB the team gets behind we can have a successful season. Sevier, Mo-West, D-B will be very tough and teams like South, Crockett, and Mo-East can't be slept on either. I won't make record predictions but I want to get a general feeling from y'all on this season.

Interesting year for the Vikes. Lose 7 starters on offense and 7 on def. They did find their QB at the end of the year. If they can get him in space this kid can play. Of course, 4 of the 7 on offense were linemen, so running lanes will be limited. Don't see any speed besides him. Defense will be an even bigger issue. 5 of the 7 started 2 or more years. Hard to tell but honest prediction is 3-7.

Harsh but I can understand it. I'll say this, I think people will be surprised by how good this team can be. It's all about getting it out of them.

Last year a very bad DB team beat you like a drum, so if you can at least make it close, let's say within 20 points, then you should have a decent season.

Word on the other DB thread is that the Indians are much improved this year.   Hope you guys have learned how to tackle since that DB game last year...
