Liberty @ North Side

BPM yall will smoke us.

Milan would have to score to win...I doubt our offense gives up 10 points again

This was a surprising score, but give credit where credit is due. The scoreboard said Oakland 45 North Side 0. But the Patriots had to earn those points and North Side did show rumbles of a scoring here and there. But at the end of the day, the still lost 45-0.

Got to give North Side coach Donnie Nickey tons of credit for turning the page from that Oakland game, especially since they had to come off of short rest. They player better than Liberty. But Liberty screwed up bad. Multiple turnovers in the second half, bad snaps that results in stalled drives, especially the one in the fourth quarter. Why is Liberty's QB punting? And why is putting from like 8-10 yards back? Could get hurt.

And I'm not going to buy the whole "They overlooked NS, they were getting ready for Milan" Liberty posters on CoachT seems like classy people and I believe they will say that. Crosstown rivalry that has always had great football games!

NS was most definitely not overlooked...NS is built to handle sloppy conditions...Liberty's offense is not...we are most definitely a finesse O...NS was attempting to run north and south, while liberty was trying to get out wide in that mess and nothing came of it

NS made less mistakes and they deserved the win

I'll believe it when I see it. I don't know what to say about this. Would like to hear dhs thoughts.

remember that Lexington/Liberty game a few years ago before liberty left the region...just like that...if we played again, on a typical field without the mush...it would be just like that season...no worries

It does mean something..... NS was better than you guys too!!! jk

not even close!!!  Henry co is a good deal better than NS...things happen, its high school football

we'll see who is playing on Thanksgiving and who is in our stands supporting...

thanks once again to the Milan and Henry co fans that made the trip to Nashville for the CPA game last season...at least this year it will be closer to home for all of us

I noticed he said our "offense" won't give up 10pts. I am assuming he meant we won't make mistakes on offense that will cost us 10 pts given away. He didn't say anything about what the defense will give up. Milans defense is playing pretty good as well with the first team only giving up 6 pts so far. And the offense is averaging 45 pts a game so far.

Libertys D will be tested. If the offense gives us more chances they will be in trouble.

    • Eagleville hosting shows laziness on the part of the TSSAA and a complete disregard for the appearance of impartiality. Absolutely nothing against EHS. Its not their fault TSSAA is lazy.    I understand EHS staff work the games at Eagleville, and they don’t want to miss the EHS games. However this isn’t rocket science. It would take less than 1 hour to cross-train EHS and RHS volunteers at the opposite sites. If Eagleville (or any host)  makes the tournament, flip their game site and have the volunteers flip sites for the days their school plays at the opposite site. Magically the school’s fans would be present to watch the their kids play and the kids at least lose some familiarity and home field advantage.  It takes almost no effort and is a ~15 minute extra drive.
    • We feel the pain!
    • Jason Lambert should be the only choice for the Baseball coaching position.
    • From the stats I found online it looks like Gabe Eddington- .484, 44 total hits, 43 runs scored and 42 stolen bases.Meanwhile, on the mound, the Austin Peay commit had a record of 8-2, while compiling 50 innings pitched with an ERA of 1.82. Carson Parrott - 7-0 overall as a starting pitcher with a 1.41 ERA, 95 strikeouts and a save in 53 and 1/3 innings pitched. Parrott hit .392 with 3 home runs, 21 RBIs with a .566 OBP and .716 SLG. Jaxon Walker - .454, 53 hits, 38 RBI’s, 9 HRs.   Not saying the other three aren’t deserving but Quillen had better BA than all three and was just as dominate pitching.  Like I said I don’t know how you leave off the 3a Baseball player of the year last year when he put up better numbers.  I know Greeneville’s Coach wasn’t happy about it saying “I don’t give a s*** what anybody else says. That kid is the best player in Tennessee, and everybody else on our team rises to his level“.  I’m sure winning another State Championship as a junior is more important to Carson than the individual award, it’s just a head scratcher to not be nominated
