Big Ed, let me start by saying that I'm praying for your injured players and praying for a speedy recovery. I promise you, and you know this already, in those 30 players that are dressing out Friday, there is some impressive core talented players. They may not have the experience yet, and may need to develope that talent more, but the coach will fix that with time. I already know up front, win, lose, or draw, that those kids will be playing with heart and playing to win! That impresses me! As for the kids in the stands, I don't mean to sound disrespectful but, they lack heart and that's what makes a true player!

Good luck to the Lions!!  I pray that all the players will be injury free!!  The weather looks great and should be a great night for football!!  I think this game will be very competitive, because Coach Butler does such a great job of preparation.  He will have the Lions ready to play.  I think the Cardinals will be ready as well!!!

Okay. This has been a great, competitve rivalry the past six years. As I mentioned earlier, the series is tied 4-4 the last 6 years which includes two playoff games. These two teams have dominated the region even when Riverside and Scotts Hill were with us. The last 6 years these teams have been to the state semifinals 7 times! They played each other in '13 so I double counted. They have been to the state championship 3 times in last 6 years. Two great programs.......two of the best coaches in the state.....great fans that travel.......two teams that always play with passion. Going to be fun and you never know what could happen! Safe travels to the Lions Den and I pray for an injury free game.

It will be the 10th ever meeting between TCA and Adamsville when these two rivals hook up on Friday in a series that had its first game back in 2009.  It will only be the 4th ever meeting between these two teams at TCA.  Fans, bring your ear buds and portable radios to the game and listen in to 105.3 fm while you watch the game.   I have been blessed to have covered each game in this series between these two rivals.  Sure hope this one turns out to be a dandy.

    • Winfree's senior year was the season she needed to secure more college interest. That opportunity was taken away from her. A lot of false assumptions can be made about what happened and what the options are. Unfortunately, the former coach and administration did not allow Winfree to have due process. A lawsuit was filed for a reason, and it will run its course by people who conduct discovery and take depositions. Unless the parties settle out of court, a lot of the pertinent issues will come to the public surface. I wrote about many of the issues here: https://bdnewsletter.news/2023/11/17/grounds-for-investigation-and-suspension/ I interviewed Winfree after she was dismissed from the team and wrote about it here: https://bdnewsletter.news/2023/12/01/a-new-interview-with-sable-winfree/ Winfree had been on teams in Warren County since the fourth grade and never been dismissed from a team. The real questions are why was Winfree dismissed from the team, and why the administration backed a coach whom they did not rehire.
    • What is the hold up here? I have not heard anything in weeks. Are they waiting for the right person or is something else going on?
    • Per usual, we'll be hard to beat in the regular season, I'm sure. It's the post season that I'm more worried about, specifically the coaches. Maybe they'll be able to make some adjustments that will keep the momentum in our favor. How's Grays recovery coming along?
    • Something don’t add up here a college coach is not going to turn away a good player they need just because they didn’t get along with their high school coach
    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
