I'll say this is the biggest game of the year for McNairy. Two reasons, one, a win and they control their destiny to make the playoffs and two, this game will give a better judgement on the team's improvement. The first two weeks, Scotts Hill and Chester Co put up big numbers on them. In the last two games, the defense has pitched shutouts (Southside scored on a kick return). The positives coming out of that stretch is Southside has put up points on everyone else they have played and they held Bruceton's running back to 53 yards. The questions still remain though cause Southside is winless and Bruceton is a 1A school that's not a powerhouse like Union City or Dresden. So the question is can the defense continue playing solid against a quality team like South Gibson.

On offense, we have to get more production out of the running game. The injuries to our top two backs have really hurt us and we have to get that part of the offense to be more consistent. The passing game has gotten better each week and it seems more players are starting to click in this aspect. We got quite a few different receivers we can throw to. But, can we keep throwing it against a quality opponent like we have? I feel we have gotten better each week, still have some problems we need to improve on but this game looks like it may be better compared to the way it was looking two weeks ago.

Well said my friend.

Im looking forward to this game as well. SGC will be tested Friday night. I expect the bobcats to come out and air the ball out. SGC has not played a pass happy team yet this season so its going to be interesting to see how the LB's and the DB's defend the pass.

Never been to the bobcat stadium. How is it?

SGC - 27

MC - 17

It's a normal stadium. Home side is the old-traditional concrete stadiums that the build decades ago. Visitor side is just normal metal bleachers. Plenty of room for South Gibson fans to sit. They do a pretty good job of the stadium. Well-lit, field is in great shape other than a sandy spot at midfield. They'll turn the baseball lights on just

to help.

On a scale from 1-10, I'll give it about a 6.5

Thanks,

I hope the visitor stands are pretty big we normally bring a big crowd of folks.

Whats the best place to get a bite to eat pretty quickly before the game??? I dont know anything about selmer. Thanks in advance.

Not many restaurants in Selmer, but Los Aztecas and Smokey Joe's Barbecue is always good. Crazy K Steakhouse in Eastview is also good. They do half price appetizers before and after the game and you can definitely make a meal off those.
