Is Knoxville Catholic the best team in the State? (All Classifications)

Seeing a lot of these posts, figured I'd put my 2 cents in. I've watched most of these teams this year including Alcoa and Catholic live. IMO Catholic would kill anyone in the state not named Maryville or perhaps that Brentwood Academy. Look folks, Catholic is LOADED at nearly every position and has D1 talent littered all over the field. Amari is killing it and he isn't even healthy. Their O-line is massive and talented. One thing people don't think of much when they think Catholic is their running game. They have 2 backs, one speed and one power, who would start for almost anyone around and be all world. Defense is nasty and very opportunistic on creating turnovers. Alcoa is good, but I honestly don't think they would score much on the Irish, maybe 14. I'm not hating on Alcoa, I have much respect for them. However folks, Catholic is the REAL DEAL.

You're joking, right?

A game between Knox Catholic and Cathedral of Indianapolis would be a heck of a game

Agree that Catlick is the REAL DEAL! Alcoa's offense wouldn't be the concern, promise. It would be the Defense. The offense put 29 on Maryville and left at least one score on the field with a turnover. They score more than 29 I think vs the Irish. That's why I think it would be a great, probably high scoring, game. Unless Rankin decided to run the ball all night and run the clock????

Define kill? I don't see them killing Baylor. But I do agree they are a top 5 team at least.

No Alcoa Basketball I'm not, they do play football outside of Blount County. As previously said tho I'm not hating on Alcoa, I'm just saying Catholic is that dam good. And yes them and Cathedral would be a great game, but them and Belfry aren't Tennessee teams.

Not the same level of football. Thinking Alcoa would score only 14 is silly.

But let's get out of the IFL.

    • It is what it is. Sorry DFL.
    • One of the biggest loosing teams in Mid-State are the Macon County Tigerettes. I have noticed that the roster is smaller than in the years past. All the senior's have quit. We have a great group of Jr High players coming up. I sure hope they don't loose them, like they have lost so many others this year. With this young group of girls coming up, a weaker district, they should have no problem going to State.
    • It was updated this season, because I did it.  Linder is the school's all-time leading rusher at 5,156 yards with 2,436 of those coming in 2014.
    • Oh, I’m sure you did. Maybe you heard just a rumor, but considering we have a football practice field and a soccer field that’s frequently used for lacrosse games and practices, I highly doubt it. Let me change that. I know for a fact that didn’t happen.   Glad you finally stopped attacking a bunch of high school students, but still obsessed with the coaching staff for some unknown reason, even though you could name more than three (at most) coaches without looking it up. But now come up with something else.
    • You really mean the Price twin boys and Lyin Larry.
