Again I know reading is not a strong point in Alcoa

But this thread is about 2016

Going back to use 2003 in a thread about 2016

Just like Catlick was "afraid" of CAKe from 2003-12?

CAK would not play Catholic but then again the Irish were in 5-A and playing Farragut, Bearden, West, LC, Maryville, William Blount, Heritage and their rival Webb. A-E kept on play Catholic too. Since you're good on history and numbers you do know that CAK has never beaten Catholic in football (and Catholic did beat them in 2013) but all this going back and forth and name calling is useless and childish. Everyone is going to defend their school but getting offended because someone has a difference in opinion is the part that wears thin. What's odd is a Webb fan started this page and everyone's all angry about his opinion. One thing is correct when realignment was made Catholic tried to get Oak Ridge, Alcoa, CAK, and West to play but it just didn't work out. Until they actually play no one knows who could beat who it's all speculation. I understand the passion behind supporting your team but some of this is just ridiculous. Seriously everyone on coachT knows how dominate the programs at Maryville and Alcoa are. No one is denying that. FHSAlum12 said it best; it goes in cycles. Catholic has a lot of kids that have been playing together a long time, I still believe that playing Alcoa prepared Catholic for its semifinal run in 2013. It's like the trash talking I guess to put people down is the norm. And we are suppose to set examples. I'm glad the kids get along better then the people on here. Edited by QSouth89

Man all this smack talk from alcoa would have been easily put to rest had they not been scared to keep playing catholic.

 

Alcoa only plays Maryville cause they have to and rankin new what was fixing to happen so he moved right along before he got the same thing from catholic and I would be worse than maryville beat you

 

I don't care who won in the past or who you play !

You have to love matthews at catholic. He will play all comers! Not Like Maryville jr who will not play you unless they think they will win

 

Oh and don't count maryville cause rankin would drop them in a millisecond if he could

 

So all you Alcoa fans congrats on your past you earned it but as I said you and rankin didn't have to take the ball and go home just cause there was a chance you didn't win

 

Losing ain't the end of the world . Look at when yall get spanked by maryville every yr.

The sun still comes up yall should be getting use to it by now

      RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.

      I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
