I'm here foe the Crow. Hats off to Happy Valley. You fellers have a very good football team. When its said and done, there were nooooooooooo losers out there. Also Hats off to Coach Jarrett ,most disciplined Happy Valley team I've seen in a long time. I'd have the one kid doing up downs until he puked . He nearly give the game away being selfish.

I agree, they really kept their composure out there. I was very impressed with both teams, lots of turnovers on both sides. But I think good teams make u turn the ball over. I'd like to know what the actual attendance was tonight. I think there may have been close to a record. That was the type of game you like to see in carter county

All true. I know we have some who think we should have threw the ball more but if we throw the 3 interceptions, the game wouldn't have been nearly as close. Its not smart to play another mans game. That crowd was amazing and Hampton made a dollar. I'm sure they would rather have the win. Loved to see the respect and sportsmanship from both sides.I can pull for those types.

I'm impressed with all the kids!! Hampton has some great kids as well. Hicks is one heck of a young man and ball player. I think I underestimated a lot of Hamptons players a bit. Their line is pretty dang good

I brag on Hicks all the time because I've always been impressed with his person and his playing ability. But yes there were a slew of kids out there that played their hearts out and acted like men. Like I said, there were no losers.

I agree with u. No need for u all to throw the ball u were moving the ball all night. Your right gotta play your own game. Hampton definitely made some money tonight. Both those teams cut out those turnovers and minimize some dumb penalties and I think we both might give AE a little bit of a game.

What a ballgame! I am glad Hunter is going to be fine. We have to have him next week. Winning field goal could not have come from a better kid. HV has a lot of seniors leader out there. They have a team full of captains. Hicks,Dylan, Blevins, Sams, heck whole team played there tail off. Sanchez, Breland McClain Hunter, heck same for our team played their tail off. That type of play from both teams shows up on the score board. Good luck to HV. I agree alot of class and hard nosed football out there. ALOT.

D did its job times 2....off. not so much we run same plays all nite with stacked box.end around ran one time got good yards.never ran again.got to get a passing game to compete in these bigger games.like I say the d picked off 3 and held them all nite.we score first play of game then only once the rest....uggggg hats off to hv great team DID I SAY WE NEED TO GET A PASSING GAME.

71, great plays and mistakes on both sides of the ball.

We had a great passing game the last few years that really opened up the running game and vise versa....U usually can't just replace a 3 yr starting QB, RB, WR's, Slot Receiver that also played OSLB, safety, corners...But we have the players in place, just need a bit more experience.

I like a good passing game more than anyone, but the great Trousdales and AEs that dominated didn't have a passing game....Ground n pound takes discipline by every player, every down...and when we lined up with that attitude Last night, we clicked off at least 4 yds.

D played well, but did get lost more than once allowing some big plays...As I said, if we learn from it, we mature.

Yeah we lost a lot to graduation but what was worse was Lyon's opting not to play this year.He was a missing link. Bad thing is ,we lose a ton again. This time instead of skill players .its lineman and lb'ers. If its not one thing, its 3. Loaded teams are scarce for small schools.

    • Deja vu all over again, 7 yrs apart. SMDH Does anybody talk to each other?
    • OK, well, that’s because two quarterbacks can’t start. That’s football 101. The main quarterback won the starting job, so he was on varsity, and the Seymour transfer did not win the starting job. He played some varsity. He was mainly junior varsity, and he balled out when healthy, so for the starting quarterback who’s been starting varsity since his freshman year, if you have any form of proof that he’s gotten worse, somehow, whether that means stats or whatnot, please feel free to share.
    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
