Old Pirate got the inside on some fellers behind that mess and won't call them out, but they are gutless. Figure they Feared It was coming, and glad the Storm they faced at the Speedway was Thunder without Lightening! ALL ABOARD, the Pirate ship is starting to sail with some stops along the journey to board some select......travelers!

As to SoPitt and Jasper...... it's pretty clear that I'm a pirate fan when they're not playing the Bucs.... Jasper wins that game 9 out of 10 times if they played it 10 times this year. Fortunately the 1 time happened but to go from saying "SoPitt loses by 21" before the game to saying "it would be the same result" after the game is hypocritical at best

I disagree. If both teams were healthy and we have 17 in that game we win it by 2-3 touchdowns. It all boils down to coaching and adjustments and Grider trumped Mathis big time. Girder classy as well. Remember the days when David Brainerd was start up school and had ignorant AD who wanted to play varsity schedule against SP. Principal canceled and Grider in papers stated "we will light the scoreboard up if we ever play them because we lost money from that game". Yep. Really. Good thing was that younger son at Boyd lit the scoreboard up against SP 3 out of 4 years. And while I am at it will never forget first time DB played SP at home and SP bus pulled up and first guys off bus were 2 wanna be Barneys with guns leading the team on a small Christian campus where half the kids didn't know what a gun was and what was the purpose of that. I thought going into that game we would lose to Marion County by 2-3 TDs. I said it all week, but like I said then and will say it again now. Marion County was outcoached that night and after watching #17 play the last several games. Man that kid is a great player. Back to Boyd, I can't wrap my head around it, but something is missing. They just aren't jelling like I thought they would this year.

I heard him say it. He was upset the first play when our LT absolutely pancaked a Whitwell kid and they called holding. It was right in front of us.

At one time we had police escorts to every game. We have done that for years. They were just auxiliary guys that were on duty Friday nights. A lot of teams do that stuff. As for your David Brainerd comment about the game? Yes, he did say that in the paper. A contract was agreed upon and signed by both schools. In the contract it states there is a buyout amount of a few thousand dollars if one team cancels and doesn't play. David Brainerd refused to pay the money that was in the contract as a cancellation fee. Look up tssaa contest contracts on their website and you will see the line for cancellation fee due to the other school if one school cancels. Yes, youngun that is in the contracts and the old David Brainerd school absolutely refused to pay the small cancellation fee.

The something missing is 3 head coaches on staff last year and only one this year. I believe in CCC (and I think everyone knows I'd say so if I didn't) and I don't get to see as much as I used to but it appears we are just in an adjustment period. It sucks right now but could turn around at any moment.

 

Let's be clear.....

 

We will win more than we lose with CCC

We will win some we should lose because of the coaching of CCC.

There's a process and just because I'm having trouble seeing it doesn't mean it isn't there.
