Wasnt really that they didnt show up. Late in the 2nd it was 7-0 and SHS had a 1st and goal. On 3rd down Riley threw his 2nd pick and it was returned about 30 yards. Held on 1st and 2nd but gave up 49 on 3rd down. They take it in to score and a huge momentum shift making it 14-0 and quickly the wheels came off making it 22-0 at the half. They would have guys in the right places to make tackles and then get juked or beaten by a cutback. Once the Eagles had Eamons bottled up in the backfield and he reversed field and went for 29 yards when nobody could catch him. FHS is the best we have seen this year. Props

Thanks for the love.  S'town brought what they had, just couldn't put it all together to challenge.  What started out as a nail-biter turned into a one-sided match b/w two sluggers.  I was convinced Summertown would pound the ground game since they have talented runners, with some pass mixed in to keep the Tigers honest.  Seemed like they went to the air game too much with no results.  For the first half we limited their offense to around 100 yards, but second half we shut them down even more.  Lots of overthrown passes and balls off fingertips, or even passes into open space where the Eagle receivers were supposed to be.  Tiger defense stepped up to the challenge,  Only negative was LOTS of Tiger penalties.  One questionable pass interference and personal foul penalty IMO.  Otherwise, holding calls and blocks in the back that negated some awesome plays by the Tigers.  Still need to work on that if we hope to continue our success.  One down, two to go to finish the season.  Cornersville will come to Tiger Hill with a big chip on their shoulders wishing they hadn't let that CA game get away.
