Science Hill drove to Knoxville in 2015 for a Scrimmage with Catholic. The agreement was Catholic would reciprocate in 2016. Catholic never showed!!!! Several weeks of phone calls changing dates they finally flat out cancelled. SHHS was willing to play Catholic any day or night during the pre-season. No wonder you cant find games when you dont live up to your obligations.

Well you may get what you wished for.. Saw some rumblings on twitter last night that KC may go 6A.

They didn't try anything to stay anywhere

They let tssaa set the rules and they decided what was best for the entire school student body

There is more to this than football but I know that very difficult to comprehend based on some of these post

It's getting close to needing some vagisil up in here

Do any of you ladies let your husband post?

Here is the reason the scrimmage was cancelled

We had a student killed in an accident

The entire school and a lot knoxville came to the memorial to remember this child

Not sure your getting the entire story

Something in life are just a little more important than football

One being remembering the life of a young adult who meant a lot to the school who lost his life tragically

I think most would agree that is enough reason to cancel

I was aware and completely agree the memorial service  and life is way more important than FOOTBALL. We offered to play any day or week to work around the memorial service to no avail. They just didn't want the expense to travel to JC after we had did our part the prior year.

We had Brentwood Academy on the schedule for 2 years until the Super 32 came into play. Derrick Barnett and co wore us out at our place in 2013. We lost by 5 I believe at their place in a game we should have won in 2014. We aint scared!!!! Rather be challenged and loose than win 50-0. 50-0 games dont help anyone

No way they go 6A -- it would cause travel issues -- they would have to get on Pellissippi and drive all the way to Blount Co or down Kinston Pike to Bearden or Farragut or really take a rod trip to Kinsport ... they cant afford that --so they will probably stay 5A  ... oh wait they would have to get back on Pellissippi and go to Oak Ridge for a long road trip .. so its a toss up ..thye will have to evaluate the travel miles .. then decide ..... LOL

But topper you didn't find it worthy of mentioning when you brought it up that the original scrimmage was cancelled due to the loss of a classmate and a memorial

Hmmmm

Some folks

Hard to explain why you could not find 1 of 4 nights to play or another week.Game was originally scheduled for a Friday. Catholic changed it to a Wednesday. We would have played Wed, Thur, Fri or Sat or any other week to accommodate.
