With the exception of the Jackson Christian game, I always pull for TCA, after all, I am a proud Southern Baptist. lol.. However, I was at the SH vs JC game and I was impressed with SH. I'm sorry I just don't see Trinity winning this game. With that said, If TCA was to pull off a win, that's when I'll get even more concerned about the 28th of October. Good Luck TCA!

I honestly believe Scotts hill best team but they haven't played since the first quarter against riverside. Tca has some momentum n playing well but Scotts hill has more weapons

I agree. Our team is young we knew it was a rebuild year. But funny thing is we have a chance to have the same record as last year and even finish 2nd in the region. We were 3rd last year??? At this point who knows. Pray for a great close game and know injuries. God knows we don't need anymore injuries.

All's well...loaned out my laptop (daughter), and having to keep up on my phone...hate posting on this thing so I'm keeping it short. Probably be late to the game, but hopes to see y'all there.

Trader, i will be a little late as well. Let's all get together at halftime in the end zone of the fieldhouse.

Lions looked better tonight, even against a young and undermanned TCA squad (hope y'all get those starters back for the playoff run). Didn't see much of the first half, but overall SH showed more emotion and had some good licks on defense. Offense showed some promise too, with the passing game getting back on track.  Trinity is young!! Give their underclassmen another year together and they'll be right back where they usually are, but don't overlook them this season if they get healthy.

Good to talk with the TCA posters...good guys, and Reitz...hope you liked the box! TCA and JCS should be very interesting for positioning...if the Lions get pressure on JC's QB, and stay disciplined enough to keep him from getting outside and picking up first downs, I think that TC wins...if they give him time to throw or lanes to run, it could be long scoring drives for the Eagles, and the lack of experience and depth could get to be a major factor for Trinity.

Great game Scotts Hill. Looked good all over the field. 4,5, and 14(qb) are playmakers and tough to deal with. Would love to see SH make a deep run in the playoffs. I believe they can do it. TCA didn't act like they wanted to be there. I've said all year you never know which TCA team is going to show up. That's a result of youth. #7 (freshman receiver) for TCA is going to be well known the next three years. He is a playmaker. JC is going to be a tough game next week. They are playing well. TCA has to get healthy to have a chance against them. Congrats again to Scotts Hill. Great to visit with you Trader! Playoffs will be interesting!

    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
    • An FYI: To see how an opponent has done against another opponent since 2001- go to the game by clicking on one of the teams. Click the G beside the game. For example, Milan: The info will show you the previous matchups and other info.
    • All these college signees went yo other schools for 3 years, were getting college offers then transferred to Bearden. It’s not like this staff did much to develop them.    The BBall coaches son and the Seymour transfer were some of the most talented QBs in the region, and you guys developed them into QBs who might complete one pass a game.
