Diggs9
The score didn't really give a trur picture of the game. HV played a pretty good game. And talking about lester and walter being out for the night.... well...HV's BEST ...did I say BEST ?,,, SHOOTER....Point Guard..... Todd Caldwell... has been out with a broken arm..Or the score would have been a lot different. he is and has been a "three point" shooting machine.... he plays a great game..... hope to see you back on the floor soon Caldwell. oh.. I am NOT a HV fan at all..But , they do have some good kids and good players.
CHHS72
There is a full slate of conference games this week. On Tuesday the schedule is: Johnson County at Elizabethton Volunteer at Happy Valley Hampton at Central North at Unicoi County On Friday the schedule is: Central at Elizabethton Unicoi County at Johnson County Happy Valley at North Hampton at Volunteer These games should go a long way in giving us a good idea as to who the haves and have nots are. I think the top four are Elizabethton, Central, Volunteer and Johnson County.

whatever
Johnson County looked real good against Elizabethton. I think they had 9 at halftime. Elizabethton turned the ball over alot against JC's defense. They seemed tp be trying to do to much. The second half was much better. Vince completely took over on the defensive end. He had some where around 8 or 9 blocks in the second half. Eliz scored 24 in the first half and had 24 in the 3rd quarter. Central was almost upset by Hampton. Thats hard to believe. LeSeur must have been sick or something although he still had 20. I'm looking forward to Friday night. The rematch between Central and Eliz. Should be a good one

CrazyVol
The conference title will come down to the Central vs. Betsy rematch. I think Central beats them next time forcing a coin toss for the number 1 seed. Both teams should have little difficulty winning out in this league. The number one seed is worth more this year, because I heard they get an automatic birth to the regional. Is this true?

sballer101
I am not so sure that it will come down to a coin toss between Central and Elizabethton. There happens to be a team called Volunteer that could play a MAJOR role in who wins the Watauga. My opinion is that Central and Volunteer will split their two games and Elizabethton winning out. I just don't see anyone beating them, unless of course Vince decides to go college shopping when they are scheduled to play Central or Volunteer. The Cyclones have so many weapons that they are hard for anyone in the conference to defend. Central has to play their "A" game (no turnonvers, out rebound, shut down Redd and Lambert or Miller. I just don't think they can do that. They struggled with North last night and are not playing well, while Volunteer just seems to keep rolling along with little fanfare. It's going to be interesting! CHHS72
Looks like we will probably have to wait till another night to see how Volunteer stacks up to Elizabethton. I was hoping we would get to play but mother nature has chosen to alter things.
