Wayne County 2017

Just looking over this years roster, looks like WC will be fielding 61 players, that's several years in a row now with 60+ players. The biggest class is the juniors with 20 and then the freshman with 18. I think it's 12 seniors and 11 sophomores.

I didn't realize we had that many seniors. A couple of years in a row, out of this class, was like 5.

This team has the talent and chemistry to do big things. That junior class a special group of kids. No superstars and very coachable. Plus they know how to win! A little over two weeks as it begins.

Missed the show this morning, what did the coaches have to say about this year and this group?

Pretty vanilla. Rice likes what he's seeing from his lineman on both sides of the ball. Need some kids to step up and challenged seniors for more leadership. 

Collinwood just trying to be who they are. Numbers are still a little down. Interestingly, they are playing no scrimmages or jamborees. They don't open their season until the following week which means they will have no bye week. As most coaches will say, he thinks they are headed in the right direction.

Rice did mention our scrimmage with Nashville Christian on Friday but not the time. Anybody in the know ?

Heard last night it will be at 7p on Friday.

It was mentioned that Loretto and Summertown were playing in a jamboree this past weekend. Did anyone get to see the game or scrimmage? It may have been at Lawrence Co High school.

That's great, I had heard five so that gives a lot more time for everybody to get there
