I just spoke with Saulsberry , he said that they will be just as big upfront

This is true. We will have the size. Will they be dawgs is the real question.

The next big question will be, who will play QB.

That will be the biggest question. Along with, who will be are other LBs to play alongside #20.

Now that I think about it, Deniro and Jabril will have to be replaced as well. However, we are pretty deep in the defensive backfield. That group will be fighting to see who gets on the field.

This will be interesting.

Next year the region changes. Whitehaven will be in Region 8 next year. The region will only have four (4) teams. As follows:

1) Whitehaven

2) White Station

3) Central

4) Germantown

That means we will only have 3 region games. Throw in the annual Whitehaven Classic (Mitchell). The annual non-region game against Ridgeway and the annual non-region travel game, that makes six (6) games. We will need four more games to complete the schedule.

I can see taking East off of the scrimmage schedule and adding them to the regular season schedule. That would be seven (7) games. I can see us playing against Southwind. That would make eight (8).

We will probably keep MUS & Trezevant on the scrimmage schedule, and if it were up to me, I'd add Lausanne to the scrimmage schedule. We can rule out adding any of the local D2 teams to the regular season either. For reasons I don't want to get into, I just don't see that happening. I feel pretty confident that we will not play any of the Region 7, 6A teams either; which are Houston, Arlington, Bartlett, Cordova, and Collierville.

So, who would you guys like to see as the other two teams on the regular season schedule?

Wooddale? Kirby? Melrose? Raleigh-Egypt? Kinsbury? South Panola? Olive Branch? Madison, MS?

Who?

South Panola or Olive Branch. No need to waste time playing the others (no offense). I don't know much about Madison, MS. Southaven would be a good option as well.

We need to stop playing Ridgeway

That's foolish talk. You know how much money that game generates? Also, the City teams need to ALWAYS support each other whenever possible. Playing Ridgeway is a win-win for both programs. If for no other reason, it is always a marquee game. It is must see high school football. We would be doing each other a diservice if didn't play that game.

Sutton's inability to coach makes that game nothing more than a money grab that plays no dividends come playoff Time. Time to play a big division school in the tri-state area, specifically MS. But AR would not be a bad bet or someone from West TN with a nice fan base. I'd rather roll back to St.Louis

    • Looks like South Pittsburg added some more talent!
    • So much talk about an investigation about student record manipulation and then everything has went silent. Has anyone heard how the investigation is going?
    • Basically what you're saying is schools can basically bully students around and get away with it because they are protected. I agree to a certain extent but when schools decisions to keep knuckleheads on staff starts costing kids careers and a college education there is a problem. Our school system last week had a teacher supposedly push a kid and the parents went to the law and the teacher is suspended. So I wouldn't say that they can just do what they want without liability. This case don't pass the smell test because the coach had already been fired before and she got fired after a year on the job. Sounds like the student was right in this case on the outside looking in because the coach gets fired after one year. How many coaches get fired after one year?? Not many.
    • Problem with DB football goes beyond coaching. Like Waco said. Thr band is the main focus of their community and school. They have the resources to be a championship level team. Guarantee Ballard or Witten could have them nationally relevant at some point but everyone down to peewee would have to buy in and at DB we all know that would never happen.
