Tony
Chris Brown from Franklin Co. Maybe some as good??? Nobody is better. Great arm, bat, blocker, receiver, calls a good game, baserunning terror.
MktgAdMan
The Mid-South Holiday Showcase was held Saturday at Dulin's Sports Academy in Cordova (outside Memphis). Around 110 invited players attended -- about 60% Seniors and 40% Juniors. Of the Junior catchers, Chris Rezabek from Bolton had the most impressive all-around workout in front of some 15 college coaches and 7 or so MLB scouts. Impressive size (6'3"/195lbs) with sub-2.0 POP Time, great gun with all throws on the bag, bat speed of 70, and the best receiving technique as indicated by an evaluating Dulin's instructor. Best of the best of the 2004 class in the Memphis Mid-South area.
CRACKER
ALEX WATSON OF RIVERDALE HIGH SCHOOL IS ONE OF THE BETTER CATCHERS IN THE STATE OF TN. THE BIGGEST PROBLEM ALEX HAS IS THAT HE IS ALSO A FINE FOOTBALL PLAYER. WOULD LOVE TO SEE ALEX CONCENTRATE ON BASEBALL ONLY.

statman22
Watson was a Team Tennessee Sunbelt selection that played in Oklahoma in which he played behind the plate and hit 3 hole with some of the best upcoming junior players in the state. He was also a TBCA Worth selection with the states best upcoming seniors and a small amount of upcoming juniors. He was one of two players to be selected, after a tryout, from the Riverdale, Blackman, Oakland area. The other player was Kyle Smith. Watson currently recieved praise from professional evaluators at Doyle Baseball Academy which he attended during the Christmas break. PhantomII
If he has a 1.5 pop time on a full sized field, he can play for any team in the state of Tennessee.
Guest DrTurn2
Tony, Chris Brown has quit the team. I think he quit to be a full time cheerleader. Would have been pushed for the starting position anyway IMHO, by soph Andy Bishop. Has all the tools. Great arm, great speed, and can hit with power. kinglewie
It was a joke about the homeschool kid he isn't real. I live in the 'Boro and reading all these posts about great players from 1A schools that didn't win a game in the conference last year, I don't know it just seems that people would have more sense than that.
