A/AA State Duals Predictions!

Also on the "better luck next year" comment, tbh id take Blackman over Greeneville. AAA is a whole -nother animal. An animal that i promise you Greeneville would not compete in. Let alone medal or make it to the finals. Not to take anything away from the program or their accomplishments, but AAA just isn't the same. Thats why the split happened. So the smaller schools, like Greeneville, could compete

Maybe I do have you confused but I don't think so. Whoever was in the first seat on the front row was the videographer. Anyway, we will be there early for sure and place our items in the seats so we can see our kids wrestle. I'm not here to argue the big school little school debate. There are great wrestlers in both and I don't want to take away from either. I only responded to the Blackman fan from the front row that liked the entertaining win for Pigeon Forge. And for the record I came and placed my stuff in the seat and came back to someone sitting in it. She did move but then a guy behind her said that was her seat she had been there all day. Nothing was in the seat when I put my stuff there. Anyway, this could go on all day long. Good luck to all in individuals.

I'm doing my best to take the high road here as well.

I do want to point out something about saving seats.  I have been to over a dozen TSSAA State events at the Ag Center to watch my sons wrestle.  You are not allowed to save seats by throwing blankets or leaving your things.  The security will move them if asked.  That is why we get there early, plant our butts in the seats and stay there.

Blackman sits in the front row on that side every year...at least for the last 6 years...  Ask anyone.

And for the record, I was entertained by the dual which is why I congratulated Pigeon Forge in the first place.  We just wrestled them a a few weekends ago and they are a great team with great kids and coaches.  Both teams put on a great show for all.

B. Video taping or filming is permitted if the taping or filming is for private use or use by the two schools involved and not for public or commercial use. All taping or filming by a school may be approved by the local Game Director, and the Game Director shall assign space.

First of all thank you regarding my son. He did wrestle well. Coach Bray was only in 1 seat. Hardly enough for our fans. The bottom line is that you took up space that our parents and fans would have liked to sit in to watch our kids wrestle. It would have been the right thing to do for you guys to have moved to the top and let us have the bottom out of courtesy. Now as far as posting to Facebook so people could watch, that is totally not allowed, reference above. Fans could watch the live stream on the network that was provided. We had 2 grandmothers that can't see well and didn't even get to get close enough to see their grandsons wrestle. Finally, we arrived at 330pm so we could root for Science Hill and sat with them for most of that match. You guys were asked if you would please move and the reply was "No we got here early to get these seats". It's ugly no matter how you sugar coat it. Total disrespect.

You may want to delete your posts as you're giving Greenville a very bad name. I'm sure their coach and probably your son would be embarrassed if they saw this. Not sure what you think coach Bray did to you. but to expect someone to just give you their seat is utter foolishness. Are you handicap? Perhaps you're just bitter because PF whooped that arse. Regardless, you owe coach Bray (whose done a whole lot more for wrestling in this state than you'll ever do) an apology for calling him out for no reason on a public forum. You should be ashamed.

Just for the record, the security officer apologized to us for Blackman's behavior after the match. Only one getting a bad name here is them. And I have given up my seat before to someone from anither school so they could see better. I guess some people are more polite than others.

I'm sure Blackman would love to have you all come in for a dual meet. I'm sure they will provide ample seating for your fans and maybe even have a special front and center seat just for you. Then you could officially meet Coach Bray, the other coaches, and his wrestlers.

    • Deja vu all over again, 7 yrs apart. SMDH Does anybody talk to each other?
    • OK, well, that’s because two quarterbacks can’t start. That’s football 101. The main quarterback won the starting job, so he was on varsity, and the Seymour transfer did not win the starting job. He played some varsity. He was mainly junior varsity, and he balled out when healthy, so for the starting quarterback who’s been starting varsity since his freshman year, if you have any form of proof that he’s gotten worse, somehow, whether that means stats or whatnot, please feel free to share.
    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
