Triple A State Tournament Predictions

I think stewarts creeek might be the 2nd best team in AAA

I think they might be at the present time. And wouldn't count on them upsetting Riverdale either. I do think Riverdale coach is pretty good from game to game but I'm not sure about his in game adjustments in close games. I've only seen him blow out decent teams and what they did last year in the state tourney. That roster though wow

If he has a problem adjusting in game during close games then bradley or cumberland could beat them. Stewarts creek wont lose to them 5 times in same season although i hope tonight they do. Bradley beat stewarts creek in sectional last year abd bradley is allot better this year. If any of yall have seen them play this year youd agreed

I saw them both years. I agree they improved. I also saw Riverdale both years and guess what so have they. And I got a hunch that Stewart's Creek has to. More than one team can improve.

Cumberland co. is a good team and could beat most AAA teams on a given night but I believe your opinion of their ability is a little 'lofty'.

I really don't mean to be crass to you, and I appreciate your passion for Bradley Central girls basketball, but you saying  Cumberland Co could beat the #1 team in the country according to 2 of the 3 biggest polls in USAToday AND M A X P R E P S is about the most ridiculous statement I have seen on CoachT in my 15 years of being on this board. :roflol:  Basketball in 7-AAA is arguably the toughest district year in and year out in the US, and has produced two National Championships in the past 5 years, and 6 out of the past 7 State Championships.  Stewart's Creek is no pushover, and a really good team.  SC could potentially be a spoiler on your side of the bracket.  4 of Stewarts Creek's 6 losses so far have been to Riverdale.  The others are to USAToday #9 in the US, Hamilton Heights out of Chattanooga, and the other is to Brentwood Academy.

Here is the talent Cumberland Co would have to play against to beat Riverdale:

Riverdale

  • 1 player is a McDonald's All-American who will actually play in the All American game (not an honoree, which there are many), and has signed with Tennessee.  She is an ESPN 5 Star athlete.
  • 2 players have offers from Tennessee, and won't graduate for 2-3 years. One is an ESPN 3 star.  The other is on ESPNs list as a freshman.
  • 2 players have committed to MTSU, and still have another year after this one to play.  One of them is an ESPN 3 Star athlete.
  • 1 player hasn't made her decision, but is an ESPN 4 Star athlete (just like Rhyne Howard), and has offers from Kentucky, Vanderbilt and GA Tech, just to name a few.  She is a Jr as well, with another year to play.
  • Several players coming off the bench have offers from other colleges.

Can Bradley Central beat Riverdale?  Who knows....just like someone said earlier, it would be like Villanova beating Georgetown in 1985.  Could happen, but very unlikely.....

    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
