Upper Cumberland is the worst its ever been. Great win for Macon County. Congrats. Carter was outstanding. Upper Cumberland "grind" had nothing to do with it. Best region in the state is Middle Tennessee this year (the same one the state champ has come from the last two years, though I don't believe the state champ will come from there again).

This is a questionable post since the Upper Cumberland is sending two teams to the Boro.

McMinn Central played Upperman twice this year and won 77-67 at home.  I am curious how the Macon County team that I witnessed play last night, only scored 26 points in the region game against Upperman.

One does not simply stroll into the "round house" and come out on top especially in a substate game. I've heard Coach White said this win was better than hitting a hole in one!! Great win for him and his team. This further cements Coach White as one of the best coaches of all time in girls high school basketball. Much respect for him and what he's achieved and best of luck the rest of the way.

Tell me another team in AA this year that can matchup with Upperman over the season? They are the favorites to win it all this year no doubt. I'm still pulling for all the UC teams and will be there to watch them play!

I was answering the previous posters' question as to why Macon could go win at McMinn Central, but not play well against Upperman. It had nothing to do with anyone else in 8-AA. I bet Upperman does not win the whole thing. Would be nice if they did, but their side of the bracket is really tough.
