Trousdale Co. is 4-0 in that span winning by a combined score of 106-19. Trousdale Co. beat 6A Lebanon in week 1. They lost 20-16 to Friendship Christian (4-0) in a game where they pretty much spotted them 14 points due to muffed punt and kick returns. The last two weeks they have beaten Watertown and Gordonsville by a combined 84-6 score. Westmoreland has beaten Ezell-Harding who will probably finish the season 2-8 with wins against winless Glencliff and Concord Christian. They also beat Jackson Co. who is 2-2 right now and will probably finish 2-8 with wins against RBS and Cannon Co. And they lost 10-7 to Macon County. From what I can tell it looks like Westmoreland is probably comparable to Gordonsville and Watertown this year. Trousdale Co. 35 Westmoreland 6 So by this statement, are you comparing Carlisle and Macon Co to Gordonsville and Watertown also? Just Curious to how many time Carlisle has been held to less than 40 yards rushing in his career?
Mr. Postman1
The Motown D will have to come to play this week. They held carlisle about as good as Ive seen anyone hold him down. If westmoreland catches the TC runner they will hit them harder than they been hit all year. That will be the difference maker this week. The TC qb will lay the ball on the ground if you hit him. Mr. Postman1
Will a slick field have an impact on the game? If so whom does it favor?
Mr. Postman1
Back in the day we loved kicking high punts in the TC game and taking our shots early and often.

I take it that Westmoreland still runs the Wing T and throws just to keep you honest. A wet field shouldnt change their game plan. TC has the ability to do both. they showed a decent air assault last week against the Tigers. The week before in Harvey, they pounded the rock to the tune of 42 points. So as to your question, "who does it favor?", I believe it favors Westmoreland as it forces TC to focus more on the run and limits their ability to pass. So then it just comes down to can the Eagles slow down the Jacket rush attack. We shall see.....

But the run game took a hit today with the freshmen #5 tore his ACL last Friday night but they have depth at the RB position but the weather looks good with no rain in the forecast
TNVol23
Tough break for us but the one position we would be ok with something like this is at RB. The Harper kid is back this week and we have a lot of depth at this spot. He will come back next year better.

Kid is awesome! My prediction TC 42 West 7 I'm going to respectfully disagree. Rankins may be the best skill person we have now, but make no mistake about it....Jake Gregory is the best football player on this team, and has been for the past two years. TNVol23
Best skill guy on this team is Baines by far
