64NB95
I was just wondering how many 1 and 2A teams try and successfully kick field goals in games? I see teams on a regular basis get stopped on 4th down in field goal range and end up losing the game by 3 points or less. Just curious? TitleTown21
we tried about a 30 yard kick Friday night missed pretty big, thats the first attempt I can recall Union City attempting since the 2013 Humboldt playoff game. ReitzFan
The kicker for TCA has 10 touchbacks already this season. He has hit a 54 field goal vs. Fayette Academy a couple of weeks ago that would have been good from at least 60. He is also a starting LB and back up RB. rtl112
We are just thankful we got somebody that can kick extra points this year.

Ain't that the truth, for 1A and 2A especially public schools just having a Kicker get 70% or better on PAT's is a luxury. We have been blessed in Wayne County the past few years with some really good kickers.
BullShark
Kickers are hard enough to come by and then you get a kicker but your long snapper lobs the ball back to the holder so slowly that the defense beats the ball to the holder. jbyrd
With a HS Soccer team, it seems the coach would reach out to some of these players?
ladykee
Greenback has had great kickers & punters for years now. The Fox kid who could kick 50+ yard field goals & touchbacks regularly graduated in 2015. He chose not to pursue kicking in college but was recruited. After his graduation we had a Freshman kicker who is now a Junior- Creed Ramsey. He is coming along nicely and is being heavily recruited by some top programs. Former soccer player that has transitioned into a solid kicker.

rednecktiger31
Waverly has an outstanding kicker but with the younger/newer front, it's been hard to show this season so far. But he did have a good season last year but not as many opportunities due to a high power offense Edited September 7, 2017 by rednecktiger31
