noonesfool Posted September 9, 2017 Report Share Posted September 9, 2017 Piegan at one time was a very tough fb program. They were better known as Canton NC then. In ancient history they beat a Science Hill squad that I played on 7-6. Our other loss was 14-13 to Tennessee High in their glory years. I know they have gone through many coaches, defenses and offensive formations since then. But communities keep their characteristics. You don't have to look any further than Greeneville. Last the winner took home over $19,000. This year the winner took home over $12,000. Their one lose this year was to Murphy a 1a school. Tennessee fans might know who Murphy is. I thought sure you did.He then ask if I would like to meet Cory Fleming " who was a great player at the time".I said ok,he took me a couple doors down and yep, there he was sitting behind a desk.He signed a UT hat that already had Phil Fulmers name signed on it.BVD might remember when Phil signed that old UT hat.I told coach it would make the value go up and he responded that I might want to burn it one day.
