92. I can't believe you don't remember.  You were there too lol :)

Your as bad as me some of the best memories of my life-Sad i know but its wierd how the game gets a hold of some of us.A friend of mine and GFDs played for Lenoir city and if they won the district they got a trip.He said what did you all get??We said nothing we were expected to win the district every year!He laughs at us because we talk of the games we played in like it was yesterday and he says cant you all let it go?Its a kids game.We just look at each other and say he just dont get it!LOL.To us small town people its a little more than a silly game.So much to be learned and taught from it.

Onb, I wished I could've let it go.  It set me back in life.  When it's over,  it's over.  I lost a beautiful girlfriend when I was 19 because of Friday night lights.  She wanted to go ice skating and I said not this time of year :)

Life smacked me right in the face at 19 and the Friday nightlites turned into getting up a couple times at night!!So it had to be postponed till about 98 then i had three little OnBs going to the games with me.LOL.Mom never cared for it till they started playing then she was as bad or worse than me.Family was always first.

We threw the ball more in 93 and 94 than any other cloudland team ever.  Robbie and Eric were good qb's.  I have 7 games on VHS where we threw the ball over 20 times.  We had 4 recievers who weren't blazing fast but they had good hands.  Jon Bare caught 2 touchdown passes in the last 5 mins to beat Unaka after they had shut us out the bulk of the game.  Donnie Sosh caught I don't know how many TD's.  He caught one to beat HV that same year.  And Brian Russell threw 2 to him in 93 to beat coalfield.  The bread and butter has always been the running game but no one put 9 men in the box against us during those years

What are these things called VHS tapes?do they play music

Sorry bud I was thinking Potter and gang was only 1 year ahead of us. I was thinking they graduated in 93”. My bad I’ve slept since then bud. Lol. What year did Greg Ryan light us up?

They did graduate In 93, the football season was 92.  That was the year satterfield and ryan beat us.

    • Never in my life have I seen a team in a scrimmage against their own defense look so lost and confused. The defense didn’t look much better, the coaching staff can’t keep their anger together, not only with the players but also with their other coaches. I feel awful for those players. None of them look like they wanted or should’ve been out there, but for the grown men on the sidelines acting like fools, it's just embarrassing to the Farragut name and reputation. I now see why they chose not to live stream this on their YouTube channel.
    • We could sure use some math teachers country wide. Ever go into a store or restaurant and the bill comes to $9.97 and you give them a ten dollar bill and 2 pennies because you wanted a nickle back and then the meltdown starts and the next thing two more people have to come and help figure it out and the place comes to a complete halt. I see this everyday and it's a sad representation of all these schools allowing these kids out the door to get shortchanged the rest of their life.
    • I like the Pirates chances. I’ll be there as soon as work allows.
    • Stars, I heard we were searching far and wide for some math teachers. Any chance their kids bench press or 40 times are getting checked? LOL I’ve heard good things from 825.
    • I think it was expected. “Bad” luck I guess to get a couple difference maker QBs in the same class. I thought the decision was made a little early myself, but they were struggling offensively last year.  I assume the running quarterback alco had last year would be a senior this fall, and the transfer would start the following two years in addition to getting a ton of playing time this year. Maybe he waits two yrs, but I doubt it. The kid is good. So is the one who stayed.
