Covington @ South Gibson

Charger fan. I dont ever remember playing Covington in a really game. We came up and scrimmaged covington last year.

In 2012, Covington 64- Gibson County 13. 

Is that the same school, or a different entity?

Ahh... Same county, same school system, different schools.

Gibson county is in the north end of the county and SGC is in the south end of the county.

OK. I stand corrected. I don't see that the two schools have ever met. My Google says SGC  started in 2009, so no, I was thinking of the other school.

We traveled there in 2015 and scrimmaged y'all there also.

Im not sure about Covington but SGC will not be playing full strength. Our heavy hitter in the secondary thats an outstanding defender will not be able to play in this game because of the ejection in our last game. I know one player does not make the difference between winning and losing but this one is going to hurt.

First meeting of the two schools but they both were a part of that massive District 13 a while back when SGC started playing. (SGC, GC, Milan, Westview, Dyersburg, Ripley, Haywood, Crockett County, Covington, and Obion Co. Cen.) teams split the 2012 District Championship after 10-0 seasons).

Ahh, I remember that 2012 season. Was looking forward to that matchup maybe happening in the playoffs. Covington was really good that year I remember, and I had heard quite a bit about SGC. 

Anyway, I think Covington will pull away in the 2nd half of this game. They always seem to be in top notch shape, and I think that will pay off this week. SGC is really good though. I just don't think they will be able to contain the covington offense without having seen it in previous years.

I have been seeing a few things about SG having some pretty good skill players. I wonder how they will match up against Covington skill players. Covington's Defence hasn't given up much this year.  Should be a good one.

Don't really know anything about Covington but I do know from playing south Gibson earlier in the season they are a very disciplined football team, and great at tackling

CC and Covington will have a good chance to find out about each other next week. I'm glad the game is at our place. It should be a tough matchup too.

Well I hope we get to see a good game a win this Friday night for us would win us a district championship  so anxious to see if we play all our starters aganist y'all if we beat Haywood Friday night
